Aaron Rodgers has taken New York by storm ever since his blockbuster trade to the Jets. He is acclimatizing to the city by attending various cultural and sports events it has to offer. From Broadway to an NBA Playoff game as well as an NHL game, Rodgers has gone to all of that with his new teammates. But he was certainly not the reason for actress Jessica Alba being at a New York Knicks game that the new Jets QB went to.

Rodgers left the Green Bay Packers this offseason after being the face of the franchise for a decade-and-half. The success-starved Jets chased him all offseason and he has instantly become a hit in the city without even playing a snap of football. But according to the ‘Dark Angel’ star, he wasn’t on her agenda in New York.

Aaron Rodgers and Sauce Gardner met Jessica Alba at a Knicks game in New York, and it led to some hilarious turn of events. But according to Alba, Rodgers wasn’t the reason why she went to the playoff game against the Miami Heat. It was the Knicks star, Julius Randle.

“Julius Randle actually has become like a new friend. I met him at a dinner, it was with a bunch of CEOs and founders of companies, and you know, it was about leadership and all of these different things, mindfulness and leadership. And we just like we vibed and he was like, hey if you’re in town I’d love for you to come to the game. I was like cool. And literally, the Knicks like roll out the red carpet. It was so cool,” Alba said on the ‘Rich Eisen Show’.

Alba might have not come to Madison Square Garden for Rodgers, but she did love the chance encounter. Especially due to his new friend Sauce Gardener and the impression he left on Alba despite not knowing who she was. He narrated the story of his night out involving Alba and got an instant reply.

Aaron Rodgers took Sauce Gardner to Madison Square Garden for the Knicks playoff game. And it turned out to be quite a night for the Jets cornerback. He couldn’t recognize who Alba was and got an earful from his new quarterback for that. According to Gardner, Rodgers picked on him the whole night for that.

He narrated the story to the press and Alba heard it too. She shared a sweet tweet to the cornerback while basically calling Rodgers (and herself) old. “But in all honesty, he was actually very polite with his elder Aaron Rodgers and everyone else in the room. It was nice meeting you,” she said in a reply to the video of Gardener telling the story.
