This time it was Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin who had a hilarious surprise for his players ahead of the week 1, face-off, and James enjoy the moment.

The NFL teams are getting ready for the 2022 season, with coaches busy motivating and guiding their players. Amidst all this serious business, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin decided to relieve the stress inside the locker room. He gifted all his athletes Black Air Force 1s ahead of their season opener.

Team’s Running Back Najee Harris was the first person to share this funny moment, and gradually NBA star LeBron James joined the conversation. With a bunch of laughing emojis, he wrote, “Coach Tomlin hilarious for that,”.

For those who don’t know, the Nike Air force series is one of the biggest and most popular brands; however, unknowingly, as time passed by, it became a meme for its awkward design and overall black shade.

“I just remember nobody wore them on purpose unless they either worked in a kitchen, did robberies for a living, or were dopeheads,” a theory from COMPLEX reads. Similarly, other theories suggest that the person purchasing these shoes cannot be trusted. All these are popular jokes often used by people to mock this series.

James is the first active NBA player to breach the $1 billion mark after Michael Jordan, per Forbes. This accumulation of wealth is not just because of his basketball contracts, but also the brand endorsement deals he had signed with various brands.

One of the top brands on that list is Nike. Back in 2003, when King James entered the NBA, Reebok offered him $10 million with a clause that he does not sign with their competitors like Nike and Adidas.

This made him wonder how much he could earn from other brands. Soon he bagged a lucrative $90 million deal from Nike, which later turned out to be a lifetime contract.
