“Beat Shaq for His Championship Ring”: Wild Story by Ben Roethlisberger Right After The Super Bowl Win

Champions always recognize each other. There is a level of understanding between them and that creates camaraderie. Furthermore, it creates an environment that gives rise to some hilarious stories.  This was the case between Ben Roethlisberger and Shaquille O’Neal. While it seems like an unlikely pairing, Big Ben and Big Diesel have shared a moment with each other that is beyond hilarious.  Roethlisberger recently went on to share an interesting anecdote that took place between him and Shaw right after he won the Super Bowl.

On the Channel Seven podcast, Big Ben sat down and spoke about different experiences he’s had as well as about football. Furthermore, his interaction with Shaq was something he spoke about as well. The ex-Pittsburgh Steelers QB spoke about how he even walked away with a huge souvenir.

While on the podcast, he spoke about an interesting experience he had with Shaq right after winning the Super Bowl. the QB was invited to be a part of the Shaq Vs. show, wherein he would go visit different athletes and compete with them in various sports. This might even include small games in basketball like Horse or Pig.

He mentioned that he played these two games against Shaq and that it even involved shooting free throws with him. Roethlisberger thought he would be able to beat Shaq at the free throws Shaq outplayed him. They also went on to play football at a nearby high school. During these contests, the two made a wager that involved one of Shaq’s championship rings. Big Ben explained how he was able to beat out Shaq and take his ring. He said, “I beat Shaq for his championship ring. So he sent it to me so I had it for like a couple days. I took it to show the guys I mean it was like bigger than both my fingers.”

The quarterback seemed very pleased with his achievement of beating Shaq out and winning his championship ring. Furthermore, he also went on to talk about the role he plays in his son’s life now. With respect to his son’s involvement in football, the QB mentioned the approach he has taken as a parent.

While on the podcast, Big Ben explained how he dealt with his son having troubles after having picked up the ol’ pigskin. The QB spoke to his son and was able to infer that his son was going through a rough patch. However, he ensured that he prompted his son to speak about it. He wanted his son to take up ownership of his mistakes so he could begin working on them. Furthermore, he also cited his own shortcomings as an NFL quarterback to ensure that his son knew that rough patches are okay.

All in all, Big Ben strives to be a supportive parent for his son’s endeavors and basks in the glory of being the one who stole Shaq’s championship ring. Throughout the podcast, he revealed a lot of interesting anecdotes. It only remains to be seen if someone like Shaq will respond to the hilarious story Big Ben revealed for his fans.
