“Any Time Any Place”: Patrick Mahomes Lands Himself and Travis Kelce in Cold Waters Against Shaquille O’Neal After a Boastful Remark on Live TV Bites Back in No Time

Patrick Mahomes has had some hilarious interactions with various NBA analysts. The QB has been a good sport while speaking to them. Furthermore, in the past, NBA legends like Charles Barkley have had special requests for people close to Mahomes. However, this interaction does not come close to the playful exchange of words that happened between Mahomes and Barkley recently.

Recently, Mahomes made an appearance with the ‘Inside Crew’ on NBA TNT and had a playful interaction with them. They spoke about various things like the upcoming golf tournament Mahomes is going to play in. Additionally, they also spoke about how Mahomes has been working on his basketball skills. Shaq went on to deal with an interesting challenge after Mahomes made some tall claims about his skills.

The challenge dealt to Patrick Mahomes by Shaq

While on the show, Patrick Mahomes spoke about his budding skills in the sport of basketball. He spoke about how during his off-season he has been working on his golfing, football, and basketball skills. Mahomes even spoke about a specific aspect of the sport and said, “I’ve been in a good spot I’ve actually been working on my jump shot too so I’m about to show you all that at some point.” After Mahomes said this, Shaq responded with his challenge.

Shaq was impressed with the kind of words Mahomes had. He went on to place a challenge against Mahomes and Kelce. He challenged them and said, “Patrick Mahomes, I see what you did. You told us about your jump shot so that means you and Travis are challenging me and Kenny. August 19th let us know the match any time any place.”

It seems like Shaq was ready to go ahead and play against the KC Chiefs duo. Keeping all jokes aside, Ernie Johnson Jr. also spoke about the kind of dynamic Kelce and Mahomes have and how it compares to the Splash brothers.

While on NBA TNT, Ernie Johnson Jr. spoke about the kind of camaraderie and the kind of play the two have with each other on the field. He mentioned how Kelce and Mahomes are a dynamic duo in terms of the way they perform. Agreeing with this, Mahomes went on to speak about how well the two know each other. Mahomes compared them to Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson and said, “I think you’ve been uh kind of similar with Steph and Klay I think it’s just that uh chemistry that we have on the field.”  

All in all, the interaction between the hosts and the Super Bowl Champ was one that was fun-filled and hilarious. Now, it only remains to be seen if the challenge between Shaq and Kenny Smith and Kelce and Mahomes pans out into an actual pickup game between the two.
