The downfall of Ja Morant over the last year is bound to be studied by fans for years to come. An NBA superstar, at the peak of his popularity and powers, ending up being the face of one of the league’s ugliest suspensions has been startling to witness. Fans and pundits from across the world of sports have been piling onto the increasing criticism and trolling of the PG.

With the superstar at risk of facing major contract cuts, and a possibility of being blackballed by the league, Morant now faces the mortality of his $190 million + contract extension being at risk.

NFL world joins in on trolling Ja Morant
Days after Morant lost out on an All-NBA team spot and had his signature sneakers removed from the Nike app due to his controversies, analysts, legends and fans alike, have joined the endless barrage of trolling subjected towards the Grizzlies star. NFL Veteran and former Pro Bowler turned analyst, Marcellus Wiley, is the latest to hop aboard the ship with his hilarious IG post about Ja Morant.

Fans across the comments were left rioting with laughter, and even NFL Legend Terrell Owens joined in.

Another fan found Wiley’s play of words in his caption extremely witty.

Another fan felt wrong for laughing at Wiley’s joke, but couldn’t help but join the laughter.

A fan in the comments had some sympathy for Morant but felt like the PG had it coming.

To top it all, one fan in the comments had to give it up to the internet for the funny Morant jokes,

From pundits to fans, the PG has seen jokes about his gun situation across the internet. But as the trolling continues to pile on, so does the pressure on Morant to figure out a solution to his crisis. The cards continue to fall for Ja Morant. As criticism and suspensions pile on, the latest to back out of association with Morant is none other than Nike. The billion-dollar sneaker giant pulled back the latest edition of the PG’s signature shoe, the Ja 1’s. Morant was part of the uber-exclusive club of Nike athletes to earn a signature shoe.

The club saw some of the NBA’s prime athletes, featuring Lebron James, Paul George, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant, alongside their 5th star, Ja Morant. After dropping Kyrie Irving, Morant was supposed to be the next big star to fill the shoes of Nike’s best-selling athlete. Now, with the Grizzlies star in great peril of losing out on his signature deal with Nike altogether, can he recover? Only time will tell.
