In 2021, he underwent the amputation of his left big toe and second toe, and he currently wears a protective boot on his left foot due to a blood clot procedure in June. Given his circumstances, he explained that a “nice, little comfortable jog” would be sufficient.

Deion Sanders turned this dream into reality just before the kickoff when he jogged onto the field with his students and sons, Shilo and Shedeur. Images from the away game at Amon G. Carter Stadium captured a heartwarming moment between Deion and his son, defensive back Shilo Sanders, as they shared a hug and an apparent prayer before the big game. Hours later, Deion and his team secured a victory, defeating the Horned Frogs with a score of 45-42 in the highly anticipated matchup.
