Tom Brady vs. Michael Jordan: Fans battle over the GOAT debate
Tom Brady and Michael Jordan are two of the greatest men ever to play their respective sports. However, they proved that their fondness is not restricted to just football or basketball; they are avid motorsport fans too. Apart from Michael Jordan, the NFL legend was accompanied by the soccer legend David Beckham at the event.
The six-time NBA champion Michael Jordan started his NBA career in 1984 with the Chicago Bulls. He has catapulted so many records that are nearly impossible to break. As of 2020, he holds the record for most points per game in NBA history.
He is the only player in NBA history to earn more money than his entire team. In the 1987-1988 season, Jordan became the only player to win the MVP, the DPOY, and the championship all in the same season: a record that remains unbroken.
Similarly, Tom Brady has his own room full of accolades to boast his greatness. In 2015, when Tom Brady and Michael Jordan were playing golf in the Bahamas, the NBA legend challenged the then Patriots QB, saying, “come back to me when you’ve got six championships”. The rest is history, Brady not only reached the mark of six but also won a title more than Jordan.
On various occasions, Brady mentioned that Michael Jordan happens to be his idol. The three-time NFL MVP has been constantly trying to surpass Jordan’s records rather than competing with other quarterbacks in the league.
