Russell Wilson has not had a very kind first year in Denver. While he joined Denver Broncos with high hopes of turning it around for the team, he wasn’t able to lead them anywhere close to the promised land. In fact, his style of play even earned him some flak from his own teammates. He has also become the target of all the fans’ backlash, owing to his poor performance. However, despite all the hate he has received, he remains to be a true supporter of Denver. He recently went on to showcase his love for the city in an interesting manner.
The quarterback recently took to Twitter to share a message for the fans. In his message, he was showcasing his love for other chosen sons of Denver. It seemed like the quarterback had nothing but pure intentions at heart. However, the head Bronco received some major backlash for his simple gesture of love.

In another one of their appearances, Denver’s basketball team, Denver Nuggets has risen to playoffs glory. They have been the ideal competition for Minnesota Timberwolves and they recently went on to beat them in the second game of the first round of playoffs. Furthermore, three key players stood out with their contributions: Michael Porter Jr., Jamal Murray, and, Nikola Jokic. Murray went off for a 40-point game while Porter and Jokic were absolutely crucial in securing the win. After their win, Wilson took to Twitter to showcase his love for the Nuggets.

Wilson proved himself to be a true son of the city as he was very vocal with his support for the Nuggets. However, his wholesome showcase of support was not something that fans seemed to enjoy.
They took to Twitter to mock and insult Wilson for his comments. Evidently, fans don’t seem very happy with the QB as of now.
Fans are not impressed with the head Bronco’s love for his city
Denver fans took to Twitter to blast the Bronco’s shot caller for his words on Twitter. One fan refuted Wilson’s support to refuse his apparent curse.

All in all, fans were not very kind with the way they commented on Wilson’s shoutout for the Nuggets. Even with the quarterback sending out nothing but love for the city, Denver fans don’t seem very fond of him right now.

While Wilson continues to draw the ire of the city, he also prepares to make his comeback. It only remains to be seen if Wilson will be able to turn these voices of dissent into voices of love with his performance in the next season.
