Fans can do a lot of things for their idols, they might be sports stars or from any other field. But what happens when a sports star idolizes another? Fans got a taste of that when the Dallas Cowboys star CeeDee Lamb showed his love for basketball legend Kobe Bryant. Lamb got a massive Bryant tattoo on his back, but the fans didn’t like what they saw.

Lamb finished the 2022 season as the best in his career so far. But his way to celebrate his success on the football field didn’t go down well with the fans.

To celebrate his own success on the football field, the Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb decided to pay a tribute to one of the best in the NBA, the late Kobe Bryant. And to do that, he got a massive tattoo featuring Bryant on his back.

“My story isn’t over,” wrote Lamb on his back alongside the tattoo.

But most of the fans didn’t like what they saw. Some called the tattoo cringe while some even called it a waste of money. Here are some fan reactions.

Bryant, a legendary NBA shooting guard, played for the Los Angeles Lakers for the entirety of his two-decade-long career. He passed away in January 2020 in a helicopter crash. Although he was a Philadelphia Eagles fan, Lamb still chose him to celebrate his success as a Cowboy.

A successful season 

CeeDee Lamb starred in the Cowboys’ offense and the franchise put together a good run in the 2022 season. The Cowboys lost in the divisional round of the playoffs to the San Francisco 49ers but still can call their season a decent success. And Lamb played a big part in that success.

The wide receiver finished the season with 1,359 receiving yards with a total of 107 receptions. He also scored nine touchdowns for the team, putting him tied for sixth in the NFL. Maybe the Kobe Bryant tattoo on his back will inspire him to outperform the stats next season. His story is definitely not over.
