Playing at a professional level in sports itself is a very competitive aspect. And sometimes, the competitive nature of players shows up in the most unconventional of ways on the field. The same happened during a matchup of the final four of the National Championship Game women’s division of the NCAA. During the matchup between Iowa and Louisiana, Iowa superstar Caitlin Clark played a very disrespectful defensive game, according to Louisiana players. This made LSU star Angel Reese take this on a personal level.

Furthermore, 2x Super Bowl champion voiced his opinion on the matter on social media amidst Angel Reese’s defenders.

Former Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle and current New Orleans Saints Khalen Saunders took to Twitter to share his thoughts regarding the whole Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese drama that unfolded. In the tweet, Saunders showed his genuine confusion and curiosity over how the LSU felt disrespected by Caitlin for having a different game plan implemented to play against them. Khalen Saunders Tweeted his confusion about how Caitlin’s two different game plans for two different teams could be disrespectful.

Khalen Saunders said in the tweet, “Did Caitlyn Clark disrespect LSU?” He further went on to explain that strategizing different game plans against different teams is like feeling disrespected because they played the Titans differently than the Chiefs.

The whole fiasco unfolded when the Iowa star played a passive defensive game against the South Carolina Gamecocks in the final four. This led to Angel Reese gesturing to Clark in the finals of the NCAA matchup.

In the finals, Angel Reese decided to give Caitlin a UNO reverse of her own medicine. She gestured the famous ‘ you can’t see me’ to Caitlin while playing against Iowa. She also further went on to point to her ring finger as a reference to the championship ring she was going to receive, as she and her team were inching closer to victory. This brought a lot of criticism and backlash to the player. But Reese went on to tell ESPN hosts that even though she thinks highly of Clark as a player, she does not take disrespect lightly.
