A few more hours before NFL fans will witness one of the most exciting championship rematches of the season. The much-awaited San Francisco 49ers and the Philadelphia Eagles match will be taking place in the Lincoln Financial Field. This NFC rivalry is fueled by trash talk from the 49ers. Nick Sirianni did something creative to motivate the Eagles ahead of this epic game as they prepare for a last dance with the 49ers.

Ari Meirov tweeted the Eagles HC is ensuring that the Eagles clap back before the 49ers even get a chance to do any damage. We know that the 49ers are big on trash-talking. The Cowboys vs 49ers game was a prime example of it. But will Sirianni’s approach work for the Eagles?

Nick Sirianni is showing Eagles clips of the 49ers trash-talking. The 49ers are big on talking smack about their opponents and maybe Sirianni thought that this might light up a fire inside the Philly team. He instructed the team to take all the trash talk “personally”. This is reminiscent of what Michael Jordan used to do back in the day when players used to talk trash to him.

There is a lot of background to this game. Javon Hargrave, who played his 2022 season with the Eagles, is playing with the San Francisco 49ers this season. So, this comes as a reunion for him. Sometime earlier, Deebo Samuel called the Eagles CB James Bradberry “trash”. The 49ers must be salty because the last time they were in a championship game against the Eagles, they got beaten to a pulp with a final score of 31-7 in Eagles favor.

Eagles HC thinks that this is going to be one heck of a battle

Though there is a lot of disparaging going on from both teams, Nick Sirianni thinks that this is the game he has been waiting for. He says “This is 2023, right? It’s not 2022. Very similar to what we responded with the Chiefs’ stuff, like going into the Chiefs game, right? There are different players on this team. There are different players on their team. Shoot, one of our better players from last year (defensive tackle Javon Hargrave) is on their team. So, this is about the 2023 Eagles versus the 2023 Niners. Both teams are doing well. It’s going to be a heck of a battle.”

Well, the evaluation is correct. With both teams reformed over the past year, the rivalry may just get even more exciting now. Brock Purdy has been labeled a “system QB”, not that there’s anything wrong with it, but if he wants to prove himself, this is the game he’s going to have to win. Why? Because Jalen Hurts doesn’t take kindly to mistakes made by the opposition.
