Tom Brady may have hung up his cleats for once and for all. Other than enjoying weekend vacations, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers legend is mostly working on his personal business nowadays. Recently, Brady has purchased a minor stake in the NFL franchise LV Raiders, effectively ending all speculations about another comeback. Given his popularity and the free time, it’s not hard to catch Brady appearing for interviews every now and then.
In one such recent interview, Tom went down the memory lane and shared some unknown stories from his childhood. Growing up, Brady was a big Baseball fan and a regular goer to the MLB games. But there was one time the GOAT himself was awestruck by his favorite player. Any guess who it could have been?

Back when Tom Brady met his Baseball hero

In the interview with Patrick Bet-David, Tom shared a glimpse of his encounter with MLB legend Will Clark. Nicknamed ‘Will the Thrill’, Clark was a left-handed hitter. He played for teams like San Franciso Giants, Texas Rangers, Baltimore Orioles and St. Louis Cardinals throughout his career. Young Brady was once presented with the chance to be an honorary bat boy at a Giants game featuring Clark. He attended the game with his father, and they were sitting at the dugout. Brady described his initial reaction when he first saw Clark, “I was sitting in the Dugout just scared shitless you know, not saying a word looking straight ahead and he came out from the tunnel of the clubhouse and came up, and he was saying something in a squeaky voice.

He further added how he gathered the courage to speak to Clark, “I just sunk back on my seat and my dad was like say something, say something, and I was like I’m not saying anything…” Brady remembered he had a very brief but memorable conversation with Clark, “And then finally I stood up and I said you know, Mr. Clark I’m Tom, nice to meet you. I said Tommy, this is Tommy, nice to meet you and he said nice to have you kid. You know it was one of those moments where it was kind of really eye-opening for me.”
Although his love for Baseball remained the same long after that, Brady’s life has taken crazy turns since. Brady was even drafted by the Montreal Expos of MLB in the 18th round of the 1995 season, but he chose a different career path with NFL. And the rest, as we know, is history.

What’s next in the life for Tom Brady?

Even though Brady is away from competing for half a year now, he has never been away from the headlines. Following his comeback in 2021, Brady and his wife Gisele Bündchen filed for divorce on mutual agreement. In the past few months, Brady has been rumored to have fallen for Russian supermodel Irina Shayk, in a complex relationship triangle. He is currently making news in the NFL community after owning a stake in the LV Raiders, although NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported that the deal is yet to be finalized. All in all, Brady remains to live through eventful times with good and bad, and focuses more on the personal life.
