Did Shannon Sharpe's bracelet mishap steal the show at the Aces vs. Fever game?

Die-hard NFL fan Shannon Sharpe is showing his love for the WNBA in a big way! His “big” enthusiasm even led to a hilarious moment that’s gone viral. The Pro Football Hall of Famer took in a Las Vegas Aces game on Tuesday night. The reigning champions were putting on a show, with star player Aja Wilson leading the charge. When Wilson made an impressive move to score a basket against Caitlin Clark’s team, the crowd erupted.

The ESPN cameras captured the excitement, including a very animated Shannon Sharpe. Fans could see Sharpe cheering wildly from his courtside seat, pointing at the floor and stamping his feet in celebration. Later, he threw in such “heavy” claps that even his silver bracelet popped loose and went flying under his seat!

ESPN couldn’t resist sharing the funny scene, posting it with the caption: “Shannon Sharpe’s response after losing his bracelet at the Aces game last night.” The internet loved it, and the clip quickly went viral. Sharpe himself saw the funny side as he responded: “That’s why I stay in my house. I be 4getting I’m in public.”

Some fans were curious whether the legendary athlete managed to retrieve his lost treasure. Thankfully, the answer is yes! A follower on his social media platform asked directly, “Did you find your bracelet?” and Sharpe confirmed that he indeed found it.

This lighthearted exchange wasn’t the only social media interaction sparked by the moment. Las Vegas Aces point guard Kelsey Plum got in on the fun, reposting the video on her Instagram story and tagging Sharpe with a playful jab: “Yoooo, too buff,” teasing his celebratory strength. Sharpe, too, reposted her playful comment, keeping the fun going.

If a 56-year-old can clap so hard he loses a bracelet, you know the game must have been exciting!

A packed T-Mobile Arena buzzed with over 20,000 fans for the clash between Aja Wilson’s LV Aces and Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever. The crowd, many likely there to see Fever’s rising star Clark, witnessed a show-stopping performance from Wilson instead.

Wilson set the tone early with impressive shots, earning cheers from the crowd, including Sharpe himself. She continued to shine throughout, racking up 28 points, 9 rebounds, and an impressive 5 blocks. It seems Sharpe wasn’t just a vocal supporter; according to him, he even chatted with Wilson and her teammates before the game, hyping them up.

While Clark did her best to keep the Fever in the game, the Aces duo of Wilson and Kelsey Plum (who scored a strong 34 points in just under 40 minutes) proved to be too powerful for the young star. Thus, the Aces extended their winning streak to five games with a dominant 88-69 victory. Despite the loss for Clark’s team, the night wasn’t all bad and even Sharpe would agree to that!
