Brady’s Aces are at it again! The battle between the Las Vegas Aces and the New York Liberty for Game 2 of the WNBA Finals packed a punch hard enough to provoke seven-time Super Bowl winner and now minority owner of the Aces, Tom Brady to sound his iconic game cry. Revenge is best served cold, and Las Vegas was able to hurl a 99-82 statement win at home to start the best-of-five series. The win served as an avenging move for New York’s prior triumphs over the Aces, all of which occurred in August.

Tom Brady had earlier attended an Aces game on May 31 and later sent Las Vegas star Kelsey Plum a jersey amongst other gifts. But, Plum’s jab at the retired NFL legend was what made headlines. Brady’s recent Instagram story applauding the Ace’s victory falls in line with their infamous interaction.

Brady who is himself one of the best athletes to walk the NFL field had harbored a fondness for women’s sports from a tender age. In a statement following the announcement of his investment in the  Las Vegas Aces, he revealed his inclination towards being associated with women’s sports has its root in his accompanying his sisters to their matches, “My love for women’s sports began at a young age when I would tag along to all my older sisters’ games — they were by far the best athletes in our house!”

However, his sitting courtside to watch the Aces’ 99-82 over the Liberty, prompted Plum to send a pointy jab his way, which like the game itself made headlines. Aces are soaring high for now, but how far they’ll reach remains to be seen.
