Tom Brady Weighs in on Jim Harbaugh and Bill Belichick’s NFL Futures by Drawing Parallels With His Free Agency Decision to Buccs

NFL is known for its twists and transfers. As per the recent developments, Jim Harbaugh is now poised to enter the NFL foray with the LA Chargers just as Bill Belichick is leaving the Patriots homestead after 24 years. On a recent episode of his Let’s Go Podcast Tom Brady talked about these moves mirroring his own brief period as a free agent.

Patriots have been on a downturn ever since Brady left the team. His replacement quarterbacks Cam Newton, Mac Zones, and now Bailey Zappe have failed to live up to his standards, and now the dynasty is crumbling with Bill Belichick’s departure. On the other hand, Jim Harbaugh is on top of the world right now after his NCAA championship win and LA chargers .

Belichick’s potential move to the Cowboys

Brady commented in the Spotify podcast, “These are some tremendous coaches who have proved themselves. Coaches who have become free agents like great players who have become free agents”. While Dallas Cowboys head coach, Josh Harris, getting fired last week, it increases Belichick’s chance of entering the squad to prove his coaching prowess.  

The Patriots’ ups and downs depended on two stalwarts, namely their head coach, Bill Belichick and their QB, Tom Brady who started almost at the same time in 2001. Over the years there has been much speculation about the relationship they both shared hinting at an ego clash. The duo grabbed six Super Bowl victories together, but the strain in their relationship was especially visible during the last few years of their partnership. Even through all these issues, Brady has always been complimentary about Belichick.

Since his retirement, Brady has been trying his luck in many different sports investments. Besides, the former QB has traded into the field of shareholding and has shown interest in holding a minority share in the Las Vegas Raiders. There has been speculation that Brady has been rooting for the seasoned coach to join the Raiders owing to their shared Wolverines’ connection.

He is the 8th candidate to have interviews for the job officially, but the team hasn’t made an offer to anyone due to the Rooney rule.
