Sparing Deion Sanders for some time, ‘Fearless’ host Jason Whitlock and his guest talked about the in-vouge soccer player Megan Rapioe. Rapinoe used to play for the United States Women’s National Soccer Team, something that she will carry fond memories of. She bids her farewell to the sport, owing to her torn Achilles.

However, the 38-year-old is in talks for something much more intense than her career being concluded. As per Rapinoe, her smooth-sailing career ended due to injury, hence she does not believe in God anymore. The 5-word sentence was enough to irk some commentators, resulting in a downpour of harsh backlash.

Jason Whitlock, in his recent episode of ‘Fearless’, sat down to have a chat with Virgil Walker, who is a pastor, with his other professions. Walker was speaking about Rapinoe’s comment that took the internet by storm. Pastor Walker had a few words of advice for the former soccer player. “God of the universe is not required to give Megan Rapinoe or anyone else any other person additional proof of his existence,” asserted Walker. Moreover, he also emphasized her ‘repentance‘, claiming if she does not then she will ‘live a life in a place called hell’.

Wishing all well for her, Walker also advised her to get healed and restore her faith in god to live an eternal life. Along with sharing the post, Virgil Walker also shared a caption stating, “What she did was a cry out for a God that she knows exists.” Even Whitlock requested his audience through X to take 2 minutes out to watch the video.

What other things did Rapinoe have to hear?

Whitlock and Walker were not the only ones to flag the now-retired EA FC 24 player. Former ESPN host Stage Steele also took to the podium to destroy the soccer player’s comment. By posting a video of her press conference, where she said ‘the comment’, Steele wrote “Narcissism at its finest,”

Moreover, this was not the only time the two had locked horns about Rapinoe’s comments. Earlier this year, in July, Steele criticized Rapino’s efforts to make soccer more inclusive. However, Steele is on the other side of the debate, with players like former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines to keep women’s sports fair. Well, it is safe to say that it does not take much for these two to get into a feud with each other. Yet, this time around, the comment did garner a lot of global attention.
