“You Think Football is Fun?”: Award-Winning Actor Denzel Washington Hilariously Bullies NFL GOAT Tom Brady

Tom Brady has been busy discussing about NFL amongst other things on his weekly podcast Let’s Go! Since his emotional retirement, Brady now goes about inviting guests on the show from various domains and sharing their insights. Often it leads to some new perspectives and meaningful discussions.

However, recently when the Academy Award winner Denzel Washington appeared on the podcast, things turned a bit sour. During the course of the conversation, one of Brady’s remarks drew the ire of Washington. It’s common when different sets of people sit together there might be some arguments. However, Denzel didn’t take lightly one of the comments made by the ex-NFL player and scolded him regarding the same.

During the recent episode of Tom Brady’s Let’s Go podcast, the guest didn’t take lightly to one of Brady’s remarks. Midway through the show as the greatest footballer and the eminent actor came face to face, Brady put forth a hilarious exchange where they recreated the ‘Remember the Titans’ football movie Washington starred in. Brady was apparently smiling that didn’t go down well with Washington. The actor remarked- “Smiling, why are you smiling?” The retired player said that football was fun. This wasn’t liked one bit by the actor who interjected- “It’s not fun, fun sir? Fun who? You sure?”

Things got rather heated as the fun aspect of the roleplay dragged on between the duo. Washington even reiterated that if the ex-NFL player was sure regarding the comments he just made. Brady once again changed his sentence by saying that currently, the sport wasn’t as much fun. However, Denzel won’t let go too easily as he thundered- “Not right now, not right now what? Make up your mind. So if you’re faking, go on say is it fun?” Finally, Brady admitted that football isn’t fun currently. He further gave his reasons for the same.

After ending the harmless debate between Denzel and himself, Brady went about the mediocrity in the league. He didn’t take long to rip apart the quality of the matches as well as the intensity. He listed the various reasons for the lack of interest in the NFL this season.

“I don’t think the coaching is as good as it was. I don’t think the development of the young players is as good as it was. The rules have allowed a lot of bad habits to get into the actual performance of the game. I just think the product, in my opinion, is less than what it’s been.” Brady ended with his reasons.

While the scolding from Denzel was more performative and didn’t look serious, it’s great that Brady let out his real feelings about the sport. As far as the quality of the NFL is concerned, it’s perhaps going a bit sloppy.
