The time has arrived for the Controversy King of the NFL to get a taste of his own medicine. Antonio Brown’s latest tweet has exposed him to  backlash. Courtesy goes to “Whole Lotta Money” song by rapper, Rick Ross. The irony here is although Brown posted a song that talks about money, the ex-Pittsburgh Steelers WR himself is running out of money.

This gave the AB haters a prime opportunity to attack the NFL legend. Meanwhile, as Brown enjoys some me-time grooving on the song, he owes nearly $3 million to creditors.

Brown’s financial woes unveiled

Antonio Brown for a change is at the receiving end of criticism as he goes bankrupt. The remix featuring Ross and prod Reazy Renegade seems to have been AB’s latest favorite as he posted the song on X. If it had been earlier, fans could have ignored it believing that Ross has got the ex-WR as his biggest fan. But considering the present scenario, the song acts as a game-changer.

On May 23, a few hours before posting Ross’ latest piece on X, Brown filed for bankruptcy. Going by the reports placed by the Times Union, AB owes nearly $3 million to eight different creditors as informed by paperwork filed on May 15 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court of the Southern District of Florida.

Amidst the bankruptcy accusation there lies a charge of $1.2 million court judgment to Anton Tumanov, a moving-truck driver who sued the former NFL player for assault and battery during an altercation in 2020. But Brown has some important milestones lined up in the near future.

Fans expose Brown’s public image in the light of financial reality

At a time when fans were about to shower Brown with praise now that AB is about to be the first ballot Hall of Famer in 2027 and is about to drop his music this summer, the narrative got overturned instantly. The ex-NFL star grooving to Ross’ song did not go well with the fans. A fan expressed the unnatural timing between declaring bankruptcy and endorsing Ross’s creation, “Bro claiming bankruptcy and dropping in the same day.” Highlighting the paradox of AB’s post, a fan sarcastically commented, “Bankruptcy announcement right before this song, hell of a rollout #CTESPN”.

“Sir, didn’t you just file for bankruptcy?”, another fan reflected his disbelief at the parallelism between the two occurrings. In an attempt to recheck Brown’s financial condition, a fan quipped, “Aren’t you out of money ? Lol”. His attempt to project an affluent image of himself did not go well as found in another fan’s comment, “Coming from the guy who declared bankruptcy. Ironic, eh?”

Hence, the social media fans brutally exposed Brown given his current financial woes while not paying any heed to do anything about it. Instead, AB finds solace in Ross’ Whole Lotta Money. Is it in any way his try at manifestation to change his financial luck?
