Another day, another Caitlin Clark-hate spree. Indiana Fever delivered a fine down-to-the-wire game but fans also got some extreme on-field drama of them conspiring against Caitlin Clark. The Gainbridge Fieldhouse was alive with anticipation when the game reached the last point where Indiana sealed their victory at 71 while Chicago remained in a one-point deficit at 70. However, things went downhill when Chennedy Carter, the hotshot of Chicago Sky, targeted Clark and body-checked her, earning Chicago a hard foul while Indiana was awarded a free throw. That free throw, however, didn’t make up for the red rage bubbling in Clark fans.

Carter’s “that b*tch” words and planned moves were so obvious that the rage against it rippled to the NFL realm. Robert Griffin III was one of the first in the NFL world to speak up for Caitlin Clark. Griffin III didn’t mince his words a bit when calling out Carter’s action of going all out of her way to call out Clark, and body check her to the floor even when she did not have the ball was straight up, direct ‘hating’. “This IS HATING on Caitlin Clark,” Griffin asserted on his X account.

Although Carter’s hard foul was highlighted the most, she wasn’t the only one pushing Clark around on-court. ESPN broadcast caught Clark’s old-time arch nemesis Angel Reese, practically getting off the bench to cheer when the whistle blew after Carter’s foul. In the later part of the game, Reese too knocked Caitlin Clark down to the ground while trying to block out.

The ‘hate’ and the outrage amongst fans were palpable since Carter’s audacious move didn’t invite much trouble other than just a foul for Chicago. Former Golfer Paige Spencer also joined hands with Griffin III to call out the ‘hate’ against Caitlin Clark. “Imagine bringing millions of new fans to the game which in turn will make every player more money and yet they treat you like this. A rising tide lifts all boats,” Spencer tweeted on X. Caitlin Clark must be glad to receive this much support for all the hate against her. Thanks to Antonio Brown, however, Clark is quite used to picking her struggles against trollers.

Antonio Brown’s trolls and Caitlin Clark

Antonio Brown’s trolls have been even more ruthless than Chicago Sky’s ‘hate’ on Clark for the past few months. Brown crossed almost all boundaries with Clark when he tweeted “Caitlin Clark looks like someone who likes to keep it hairy.” Brown made sure to not let Clark forget his words as he would often use those words, over and over, in different contexts for Caitlin Clark.

While he has tried being nice to her, his constantly flickering mind is another headache for Clark. Now, it seems that Clark has just accepted her fate. Since AB was an online abuser, blocking him on X worked for her but Clark was mature enough to adopt a calm approach to dealing with the Carter situation. Yeah, I wasn’t expecting that,” Clark said. “But it’s just like, ‘respond, calm down, and let your play do the talking. It is what it is,” she added in her post-game interview.
