It was tough when Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady ended their marriage after 13 years of togetherness. The time spent together and the memories created went away in a whisker. Now after about a year of divorce, there are some fresh perspectives on the life of the Brazilian model. While the divorce might have been shattering, it was a blessing in disguise for the Elle magazine cover model.

Recently, she sat with Lee Cowan from the CBS. Sharing the lowest phases of her life and the reasons for embracing changes. While both the ex-partners have gone on their separate paths, there have been new developments in the duo’s lives. The interview has gauged national interest as the model revealed several new insights. Despite being her vulnerable self, the highly viewed interview brought several new things to light.

Gisele missed her ex-husband and the emotional attachment to her kids

Gisele Bündchen and her 7X SB champion ex-husband were married for almost two decades. When their relationship fell off, it was a soul-crushing moment for the model. The duo also have three kids together and the VH1 Vogue Awardee also highlighted the emotional bond between the children and herself. She became vulnerable as she expressed her deep emotions in a CBS interview. “It’s sometimes you grow together, sometimes you grow apart. I mean, he’s the father of my kids, you know? So, I always wish him the best, and I’m so grateful that he gave me wonderful children.”

She further explained that she took everything in her stride. When asked whether she made peace with the divorce, the model replied in the affirmative instantly. “I look into my life and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I wouldn’t have any other life…..I wouldn’t change absolutely anything. Not even getting divorced.” The model who now stays away from the runaway life, shared her reasons for avoiding the limelight.

The now 43-year-old supermodel has been in the industry for more than two decades. Having been roped in as a teenager in the modeling world. The limelight got the better of her mental health. During the course of the interview, she opened up about the struggles of being a top supermodel.

“I couldn’t breathe. And then I started being in studios, and I felt, like, suffocated,”  She also brought forward her dissociation struggles as she’d avoid the lifts wherein she felt like levitating. Describing the overwhelming feeling, Bündchen further elaborated on her mental state. “You know when you can’t breathe even when the windows are open, you feel like, ‘I don’t want to live like this,’ you know what I mean?”  The dreaded thought of suicide also crossed the blonde model’s mind. The star admitted that she felt like jumping, albeit for a second.

Divorces are tough to handle. Gisele shed light on all the stress, trauma, and finally the acceptance of the breaking of marriage. Her ex-husband Tom Brady and herself are giving major parenting goals, despite living their own lives.
