Chad Johnson and Shannon Sharpe go about their business on the Nightcap. While Unc Sharpe has some interesting stories of his own, of late Johnson has added his own riveting encounters. Talking on the latest episode, the NFL HOF asked a personal question regarding taking some pills prior to matches.

Johnson without hesitating even for a moment, told how he’d take “half a pill”! While Sharpe’s and Johnson’s friendship had grown manifolds over the talk show, this is something even the oldest fans never knew! Chad was a great WR in his time and played for a significant period of time. However, he dealt with the challenges of adrenaline flowing in his veins. And so, taking the pills to calm the blood flow.

In a hilarious exchange on Nightcap with Unc Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson, the WR came in clutch! He narrated the incidents that led him to take the viagra pill before heading into games. When Shannon asked if it was true that Chad took viagra, this was how the WR replied. He said, “Yeah half a pill!” and went on with his explanation. “It’s an enhancement with the increasing blood flow to improve performance horizontally.”

There’s a growing friendship between Sharpe and Johnson over the talk show. They’ve been vulnerable, shared laughter together, and even cried at some of the stories. The recent episode revealed another side of the player’s past. Probably, the best part of the video was Sharpe’s reactions as he listened with intent and agreed with Chad’s opinions.

The former WR who played for the Bengals and Dolphins also shared his secret potion. “But if you take half a pill and take it before a game with a little bit of Red Bull which almost turns into an added performance enhancer.” Now we know how Chad ended up being invincible on the field and brought him 6 Pro Bowls! Johnson also seems concerned for A-Rod and gave his advice to the multiple MVP winner.

Just like his pocket-sneaking abilities, A-Rod’s recovery process is just magnificent. The 39-year-old young QB, unfortunately, tore his Achilles well within the first two quarters in Week 1. Since then he has made a terrific recovery! Not only walking without crutches, he also looks set to join the Jets midway through the season.

But he shouldn’t as per a warning shared by Chad Johnson. As per the former Bengals WR, A-Rod should heal completely prior to returning to the field. He said, “Don’t do it, you’re going to re-injure yourself. It’s too soon. … There’s no need to rush back.” Johnson, who also played on the offenses and worked with different QBs throughout his career, understands the essence of play-maker. Chad highlighted how “You have to understand, there are few injuries that you don’t want to play with,”  reiterating his cautious warning.

While Johnson found his secret sauce for “playing horizontally”, he did make an impact with the offenses. Having retired from the game, the performance enhancer might come in handy for any current WR.
