New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson is taking things slow and steady with his new flame, model, and TikTok star Nicolette Dellanno. The couple was first rumored to be dating after being spotted together in June 2022 attending a New York Yankees game. The 23-year-old quarterback later confessed to be dating the model for “a year or so.” 

Wilson might finally be sharing a secure moment, but he sure had his share of relationship controversies. He made headlines in July 2022 after Abbey Gile, his high schoolmate, and ex-lover who he was in a long-term relationship with previously, shared some shocking news online. A stunt she pulled, NFL fans believe, in part, to draw away attention from her own, equally shocking, endeavors.  

Who exactly is Wilson’s new flame?

The model and influencer with more than 40,000 Instagram followers was born on Dec.15, 2001, and hails from Colts Neck, New Jersey. She is also a popular Tiktoker with over 244,000 followers and has previously modeled for numerous brands including a campaign for Target. However, here are five lesser-known facts about the young sensation.

• In 2020, she graduated school education at Red Bank Catholic High School. That same autumn, she began her college journey at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, where she became a member of the Alpha Phi sorority.
• She is a “devoted competitive dancer.”Her mother, Kathy, is the co-founder and co-managing director at Pure Dance Competition. Nicolette grew up dancing and has taken her dancing moves to Tik Tok where she is often spotted posting videos of her dancing. 
• Dellanno holds a full-time position as one of the leading designers at Morgan & Co., New York, specializing in tailoring dresses for bride’s mothers and proms. She can even be spotted on the company’s website, modeling some of the elegant dresses.
• When Wilson was a second all-round pick for the Jets, Dellanno showed her support for him by donning a necklace with a number two pendant. 
• The couple readily spends time with each other’s family and friends with Dellanno connecting with Wilson’s family over Memorial Day weekend 2023 in Utah, and Wilson going “on a little vacation with my girlfriend’s family” before the Jets’ training camp commenced on July 18, 2023.

Wilson’s “homie hopper” ex throws shade  

Speculations began after Washington Commanders wide receiver Dax Milne who also happened to be Wilson’s ex-roommate and best friend shared a series of Instagram pictures featuring him romancing a mysterious girl. The lady in white later turned out to be Wilson’s ex, Abbey Gile. 

NFL fans accused her of being a “homie hopper” by dating her longtime ex’s one-time best friend. This, however, triggered her to make a shocking comment, saying that Wilson “was sleeping with his mom’s best friend … that’s the real homie hopper.”

She quickly removed the comment and deleted her Instagram account, while Milne blocked all comments on his post. Wilson made no overtly obvious comments addressing the situation but later quipped on Instagram, “Took the boys to @gozzerranchclub in Idaho before camp! Poor cell service…what I miss?”

The tide has settled since the rocky rumor situation and Wilson finds himself at peace with his new girlfriend, Nicolette Dellanno. He is able to channel his energies towards becoming an effective backup to the Jets’ monumental new acquisition, Aaron Rodgers. Both the franchise and the legendary quarterback are heavily invested in Wilson since “They really believe in him. They think he can be special.”
