The Army-Navy game’s excitement has hit the roof for action between the two oldest contingents in the American services. It’s a massive carnival of sorts, with tickets fast selling like a major Taylor Swift concert! The recent installment of the game will be taking place on Saturday, the 9th of December.

In the game’s history of 124 years, 10 sitting presidents have attended the keenly fought battle. Current commander-in-chief Joe Biden attended the game as a Vice President 10 years ago, but this begs the question if POTUS will attend the game this year as well.

Will President Joe Biden be attending the Army-Navy game?

This Saturday would be a colossal affair in the field of American Football. As per Blake Burman, the NewsNation host dropped his two cents on Biden attending the game, saying, “I was shocked to hear you’ve never been to this game,” adding, “10 sitting presidents have gone.” To this, the NN’s political contributor Nick Mulvaney replied, “I wonder if Biden’s gonna go this week. It’s a tremendous tradition, there’s no question about that.”

Biden is himself an avid football lover and enjoys the adrenaline rush of this remarkable sport. He previously watched the game live during its 112th edition with Barack Obama back in 2011. If Biden does appear for the game, he’d be joining the likes of Woodrow Wilson, Calvin Coolidge, Gerald Ford, and Bill Clinton amongst others to have watched the game live. As the Gillette stadium prepares for the game, it creates a unique record!

Army vs. Navy – who’s on top?

The home of the Patriots will turn as the host to the Army-Navy game in more than 124 years. This is the first time the game will be held outside Philadelphia and New York. The Army-Navy game is one of the oldest rivalries in college football. The Navy has its nose in front with 62 wins as compared to the Army’s 54.

Since the 1990s, the Navy has maintained its strong position over the Army in terms of matches won in a decade. While the 1990s were dominated by the Army, the Navy replied strongly with its dominance in the 2000s and 2010s decade. It’s believed that the parking slots would be opening as early as 9 AM, hours before the game. This will all be done to avoid any tailgating and the last-moment rush in the arena.
