Former NFL player, Scott Turner has received a nomination from President-elect Donald Trump as HUD secretary! And, indeed his wife, Robin Turner is quite proud of Scott’s major milestone. The Texas House representative had also previously served a term as Executive Director of WHORC, whilst Trump was serving his first term. And, now he is all set to be back again.

As a former NFL cornerback, he had an extensive career across nine years in the NFL. During his tenure, he played with top teams including Washington, San Diego, and Denver. And, now his political acumen is no less daunting. Thrilled at this moment, he expressed gratitude for his nomination. Apparently, the  Raiders‘s interim offensive is all set to serve the “forgotten men and women,” while honoring the legacy of former HUD Secretary Ben Carson. And, in all of this, his wife has consistently supported his unflinching aspirations.

Who is Robin Turner?

For Scott Turner, making smooth transitions across his career became easy with the help of his wife, Robin. Besides his role in the NFL and politics, he also works as a chief inspiration officer. And, with his wife, he has also started a custom suit company.

Both of their beliefs are deeply motivated by faith. Even Robin describes herself as a “proud follower of Jesus Christ,” on her X handle, besides tagging herself as the wife of Scottie T. And, indeed, one can discern, how appreciative she is of her husband from this.

The couple had first crossed paths at the University of Illinois, where Scott had first started his NFL career. And, since then they have been inseparable. And, the couple has been married for 28 years now. However, for 13 years, they had a childless household. It was then, they decided to co-parent his nephew, Solomon.

When they dropped off Solomon at the University of Illinois, Scott remarked, “For both my wife Robin and I, I really don’t have the words to describe the joy that we had.” He continued, “…When we got to take Solomon to campus. We realized that he was going to be enrolled there and, actually be a part of the team.  There was a great sense of just accomplishment and a continuation of the legacy.”

Adopting him when he was merely 8 years old wherein he faced a tumultuous childhood, Solomon never fails to express gratitude. Even Robin describes herself as a proud “Ma-Auntie Ma-Auntie to Soly B” on her Twitter handle.

How has Robin Turner been a source of strength for husband Scott Turner?

For Scott, he cannot envision his life without his wife, Robin. And, together with Solomon, they continue to live a cherished life. The addition, they acknowledge, has brought laughter, challenge, and even a great perspective, over the past few years for both of them.

Robin is in fact one of the elemental strands in his network of support, that has helped Scott to propel his career. He remarked, “My wife, Robin, and I have had strong communication throughout our marriage, so there was always an open dialogue while I played and when I retired which really helped me.”

Whether he planned to retire or expand his political visions, Robin was there through thick and thin, to help him build everything with finesse!
