Up until yesterday, former NFL WR Chad Johnson was a man happily engaged to his fiancee Sharelle Rosado. However, that soon changed on Saturday as the renowned real estate broker dropped a bombshell about their relationship online. Although there were constant shouts of them getting married, Rosado may have had other ideas on her mind.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Rosado shared a screenshot of her X post that read, “Chad and I are no longer together please stop tagging us. He is a free man ladies.” Well, this came as a shock to everyone, as they had been engaged for more than a year. And that’s not all, the couple also share a daughter named Serenity, whom they welcomed in 2022. This makes us question whether the two will adopt a shared custody policy that couples do after separation.

Although it’s early for those talks to happen, Rosado has a personality of her own that makes her a successful entrepreneur. She is the CEO of Allure Realty, a Tampa-based real estate brokerage that caters to the luxury market. Her company is mostly focused on the people residing within Tampa Bay, Florida, Miami and Charlotte. Having sown the seeds of her firm in 2019, Rosado quickly made a name for herself when appearing on Netflix’s show, Selling Tampa.

Airing for a single season in 2021, this spin-off series solidified her presence in the industry. As Netflix reiterated her ambition and determination to the growth of Allure Realty, “Sharelle has big plans for her brokerage and won’t let anyone or anything get in the way of making her dreams a reality.” Well, her all-black, all-female Netflix show has a funny history of its own.

As shared by Rosado to Glamour UK, she apparently sold the idea on Instagram DM’s “I thought it was time to turn the spotlight on us and began contacting various people I knew in the television industry to see if they were interested.” And Johnson’s ex eventually managed to hit the bullseye, “I began following them on social media too and decided to slide into the DM’s of Selling Sunset’s executive producer Adam DiVello. The rest is history.”

Well, it wasn’t the first time she decided to show up on people’s DM’s. As Rosado met with her ex through one of her DMs.

Although the two came public with their relationship in 2020, it seemed like they had known each other way before that. As revealed by Rosado on her appearance in I AM Woman, she spoke about how the first move came from her, “He was always a crush of mine. For years. Sexy, tall, chocolate. I slid into his DMs, and he responded like two seconds later.” And talking about the post that made their fans aware of the relationship, it was Rosado who posted a photo of theirs cuddling with the caption, “The Jags may have lost the game today, but my baby is leaving a Winner.”

Coming into Johnson’s family, Serenity isn’t the only child they have. As Johnson has seven children from his past relationships, “I always wanted a big family. So I think with this last one, she’s just the perfect number to finish it off.” After bringing Serenity to the world, the couple gave their relationship a new chapter by getting engaged last year.

Chad Johnson proposed to his then-girlfriend with an oval cut, 7 1/2 carat engagement ring, “I’m honestly shocked! I’m at a loss for words. This was absolutely beautiful, and to see my family and friends here to celebrate our love, that really did it for me. He is definitely not a planner, so for him to pull this off for me is so amazing. Just the thought he put into this and having our family and friends here to witness says a lot.” But now that they have broken up, what would their families’ reaction be? Well, for now, we don’t know, as it would surely send shockwaves to their close ones as it did to the NFL fandom.
