If you’ve tuned in to an NFL game lately, chances are you’ve heard Tony Romo’s voice breaking down plays and giving you that insider perspective that only a former quarterback could. Since retiring from the Cowboys in 2017, Romo has made an impressive transition from the field to the booth. Just like one of the most loved QBs back in his day, Romo is now continuing his legacy as an NFL analyst.

But behind the microphone, Romo’s role as a dad takes center stage. Because, while he’s sharing his sharp insights on the biggest NFL games, he’s a complete family man with his three kids, or three sons, to be specific. And let’s be real, it’s a whole different game when you’re raising three football-loving boys with your high energy.

After marrying Candice Crawford, Tony Romo didn’t have to wait long for another big milestone—becoming a dad. The couple welcomed their first child, Hawkins Crawford Romo, or “Hawk” for short, just a year after their wedding. And in true Cowboys style, Hawk’s arrival wasn’t just a family affair—it was a team celebration. The Dallas Cowboys even put out an official statement, proudly saying, “Hawkins Crawford Romo is now a part of the Dallas Cowboys family.” From day one, Hawk was already a true Cowboy!

Since then, the little guy has been grabbing some solid spotlight. He often pops up on his dad’s social media, whether showing off his dance moves or spending time with his favorite uncle, Chace Crawford. Yeah, the same uncle who is currently the lord of the seven seas in “The Boys.” Moments after his birth, Chace shared a message with fans, writing, “I am the best uncle.”

And it seems Tony has no doubts about that! Dad Romo had confirmed in a hilarious post that Hawk loves his Uncle Chace more than his dad. “Hawk had just gotten back from a trip with his uncle Chace. He really wanted to tell me why he loved uncle Chace more than his father.” Tony captioned his post.

What about Romo’s second kid, Rivers?

And then they became four. Hawk welcomed his baby brother, Rivers Romo, in March 2014. Spoiler alert: Tony and Candice’s second son is a football fan from day one. Little Rivers is enjoying football whether cheering on his dad during his days with the Cowboys or hanging out with Tony behind the scenes during his broadcasting gigs.

Tony Romo: Better on the field or in the booth? What's your take on his legacy?

Have an interesting take?

Back in 2017, Candice shared the sweetest Instagram post of Rivers proudly wearing his dad’s iconic No. 9 Cowboys jersey—looking like he was ready to take over the commentary booth himself! For a while, Rivers held the title of the youngest Romo, but that all changed when he got promoted to big brother. Candice shared with PEOPLE how thrilled Hawk and Rivers were to welcome their baby brother, and you could just feel how special that moment was for the whole Romo family. It was pure excitement and love all around!

“The older boys are so excited,” Candice said in June 2017. “They were even more thrilled to find out they were getting a little brother. It’s been really sweet to experience this pregnancy with them.” With that, Candice became a complete “boy mom” when she and Tony welcomed their third son.

When asked about the best part of her complete journey after finding out about her third son, she shared some cherished moments with the PEOPLE.“My favorite time of day is bedtime when we slow down and read stories, snuggle, and talk,” she said in June 2017. “So much is going on in their little minds, and I love getting glimpses of them when the day winds down.”

Now, if you think having two older brothers means Jones gets a pass on being the little troublemaker, think again. Little Romo is getting plenty of attention, especially from his oldest brother, Hawk, who absolutely dotes on him. Tony shared some glimpse of the brothers bonding on his Instagram handle, captioning, “Hawk just knows how to get Jones going.” It’s clear that his kids are the heart of Tony Romo’s life.
