The Kelces have been prodigal in the podcast space. Obviously, brothers Jason and Travis have been at the forefront with their New Heights Podcast, but here comes competition. We imagine things are going to get pretty heated now that Jason Kelce‘s wife, Kylie Kelce, has thrown her hat in the ring with Not Gonna Lie. Is it going to outdo New Heights?
Well, we won’t have long to wait to find out. The first episode drops in less than two week’s time, on December 5th 2024. New episodes will be available every Thursday on YouTube, Spotify, & Apple Podcasts. We don’t know what guests she’ll be having on just yet, but she’s teased that they’re “incredible” so that’ll have to be good enough for now. This one’s looking to be a lucrative proposition too, having already secured a sponsorship deal with Dunkin.

Kylie Kelce’s rationale behind bringing out the podcast (beyond financial incentive) has been laid out bare, too. Apparently she briefly considered naming it Yet Another Kelce Podcast, which would have been very tongue-in-cheek. In her own words, “If everyone’s going to be talking about me and my family, you might as well hear it from me.” No nobler sentiment was ever heard, and now we’ve got yet another source for inside gossip on the Kelces.

In terms of content, Kylie promised you’re going to be hearing about her “Brutally honest opinions on motherhood.” That could include all sorts of things, from her stance on swearing around kids to how they handle their parents being celebrities. Other sports and entertainment topics would also fall under her remit, as would the latest in social media trends. In short, it’s going to be a bit of everything, kind of like New Heights, except with a mother’s touch.
Is Kylie Kelce set to give New Heights a run for its money?
Travis and Jason Kelce didn’t make it to the top of the Sports podcasts list by just coasting by. First, we’ve got to admit that name recognition had a big part to play. Travis Kelce‘s been in the news a lot, and the Kansas City Chiefs‘ 3 peat hunger has been at an all-time high. And though Jason Kelce’s freshly retired, he was arguably one of the best centers of all time. But that’s not enough. The two brothers have chemistry. They can keep it real. It’s a relatable and fun podcast, with just a bit of inside gossip to keep fans coming back for more.

It’s not for nothing. Amazon bought exclusive rights to New Heights for a whopping $100 million. Kylie Kelce’s going to start out by putting her show on all available platforms, so potentially a larger initial audience. Wondery might have grown this year, but Spotify and Apple podcasts remain the largest platforms for podcasts. Assuming Kylie Kelce starts bringing in the numbers, there’s every chance a bigger competitor will snap up Not Gonna Lie.
