Christian McCaffrey, the latest guest on the Tom Brady and Co. on his “Let’s Go” podcast, was part of an interesting conversation with the NFL legend. Both the stalwarts engaged in some deep topics covering their careers, off-field antics, and even discussing charity works. Naturally, the conversation diverged towards the MVP debate.
Proud McCaffrey who symbolizes his team culture provided some clarity about the player whom he considers as the NFL MVP, saying, “Yeah if I had my vote, I think Brock (Purdy) is the MVP, and Trent (Williams) would be the second in line.”. This was met by some banter from Brady who chipped in with his own remarks.

Brady took the reasoning sportingly and laughed as the RB mentioned his choice for the prestigious award. Brock Purdy and Christian do have a great friendship on the field and have won many matches for the 49ers. Purdy, the team’s QB has churned up some impressive numbers this year.
He has scored 29 touchdowns while completing 3,800 yards that too with a passing completion percentage of 70. Moving on from Purdy, Brady revealed the bittersweet story of how he could have joined the 49ers had they picked him up back in 2000. After all, growing up in Bay Area, Brady had worshipped the 49ers and Joe Montana.

The NFL legend has a record 7 SB titles under his belt. He was a revelation initially for the Patriots and then later on with the Bucs. However, Brady still has some bitter feelings about not making it to the San Francisco team 23 years ago. He narrated the story on the “Let’s Go” podcast.
Brady shared his resentment towards the side since they didn’t pick him up during his NFL draft. “They passed me up six times in 2000, so f*** them and that whole staff that kept me out! Because I had a chip on my shoulder for a long time.” Brady vocalized his disappointment for not being able to join the team he had idolized throughout his life.
