The fans’ aching desire to have Tom Brady return to the NFL is finally coming true, but not in the way they would’ve specifically wanted. Brady will soon join Fox Sports as an NFL analyst but the recent episode of the Rich Eisen show might just pop the bubble as he reveals an unlawful dilemma.

As per Eisen, the information that Brady would be subjected to as an analyst could end up being transferred to the Raiders’ management, which in turn, would result in a leak of sensitive data from the other teams. He further said, “Part of the issue is Brady’s broadcasting career. His endeavor with Fox Sports, he’s going to have a lot of information on other teams, that owners usually are not privy to. There’s a lot of competitive questions here so he’s going to be able to do what? Do a Chargers game and then turn around and be an owner of one of the teams? One would think it’s proprietary potential information.” Thus, it does seem like a valid issue that Eisen has brought to light and it will be interesting to see whether Brady or the NFL would take any measures to negate the possible outcome of this situation. Moreover, it looks like this situation has also caught the eye of NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, who issued a statement about Brady’s ownership stake with the Raiders.

Since early 2023, Brady has shown a considerable amount of interest in owning a small percentage of the Raiders. As such, it was announced this year that the deal would go through and the Pats’ legend would receive over 7% of a minority stake within the team. Yet, his $375 million deal with Fox Sports ended up becoming a prick on his side since the dual deals exist in contradiction to each other.

Roger Goodell’s presser released a statement that provides clarity on the Brady front and how the NFL is still working on the sort of limitations that would be imposed on the quantity of knowledge Brady would receive. The statement read, “Progress being made on Tom Brady becoming Raiders minority owner, but still working through issues, including access Brady would get to other teams for broadcast duties.” Thus, it looks like Brady is stuck in a rut with no other options as he tries to begin his career as a giant in the commentating world.
