Reynold, being an owner of Wrexham is leaving no stone unturned to shout from the rooftops, to support his soccer team. Due to this, he once called Brady for a soccer date to bring many NFL fans too in the English football club. However, TB12 had a genuine reason to not support Wrexham. Fast forward to present, still the two share a great bond of friendship. But this time it’s about the clash!

Tom Brady, who is a minority shareholder in Birmingham City, announced an upcoming clash with his old friend and the owner of Wrexham, Ryan Reynolds. As we told earlier, Brady himself had the reason to not cheer for the actor’s team, and that was this – his minority ownership with Birmingham. Nevertheless, now these two are finally meeting, but against each other for a special cause.

On his Instagram story, TB12 shared a banner of the upcoming battle of Birmingham vs Wrexham, which is going to kick off on Thursday, January 23. Sharing this new update with his 15 plus million followers, Tom Brady revealed the real cause behind this matchup. And that is obviously for LA!

According to the original post by event host, Cosm Los Angeles, “We will be hosting a donation drive for the LAFD Foundation (@lafdfoundation) to support relief efforts for evacuees and those impacted by the fires.” Hence, sharing the same, Tom Brady also sends off a special message to his fans, by saying, “LA! Come out for a huge match, and help support @lafdfoundation,” in the story caption.

That means, although this matchup will be one of the most interesting clashes in the soccer world, the motive behind these two celebrities hosting the game is quite appreciable. So, as Tom Brady has called his fans to support LA, there is a list shared by the event host for the fans who will be coming to the stadium to support LA!

It said: “For fans wanting to participate in relief efforts, we encourage you to bring donation items, specified below for those in need.” The list mentioned by them included essential items like – “Bottled Water, Blankets, First Aid Kits, Hygiene Products (soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, hand sanitizer), Baby Supplies (diapers, formula, wet wipes), Feminine Hygiene Products, Paper Towels & Toilet Paper, Portable Chargers, and Pet Food & Water.”

Well, although it seems like a clash between two friends, Tom Brady and Ryan Renolds, it’s actually a clash between these two stars and the LA wildfires, which destroyed most of the city’s regions, leading many to evacuate or lose their lives. And obviously, this isn’t the first time the Patriots’s star QB has voiced for LA!

Tom Brady supported LA by partnering with a brand?

When Los Angeles caught fire earlier this month, many came up to pray for the city or support it in their own ways. Tom Brady too didn’t shy away from doing so. He expressed his sorrow for the people of California on his IG story at that time, as well as, showed his gratitude to the first responders. In his update, TB12 mentioned, “Prayers Up. Thank you to our courageous First Responders.” Not only that!

Besides praying and thanking, Tom Brady also approached himself to support the victims. For this, he partnered with Gopuff, a retail food delivery service company, to deliver $250,000 of free water to the people affected. Brady, being a businessman, joined Gopuff in June 2024. And now when LA needed support, he partnered with the brand to provide relief support.

Announcing this approach, Gopuff co-founder and co-CEO, Yakir Gola, said, “Our hearts are with the thousands and thousands of people impacted by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles….To do our part to support first responders and anyone who’s impacted locally, we’ve partnered with Tom Brady to give away $250K worth of water to those in the LA area and will continue to monitor the situation and support however we can.”

As per reports, the stubborn wildfires have scorched 2,399 acres till now, leading many to evacuate from their homes.
