Looks like Tom Brady’s juggling more conflicts off the field than he ever did while tossing yards or dodging defenders on. The reason? It’s pretty simple. The NFL GOAT is handling two jobs at one time. It’s like throwing a pass and catching it on the other end at the same time. What will happen? You’ll get caught in some major conflicts.
Speaking of the conflict, Brady currently holds minority stakes in the Las Vegas Raiders. Moreover, the legendary quarterback already signed a 10-year $375 million deal with FOX Sports in 2024. Now, here’s when things start to get interesting. Brady is currently in search of a new head coach for his team. And Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn are the hottest contenders for the HC post in the Raiders locker room. And guess what? Brady is expected to announce the Lions vs Commanders divisional round on Sunday.
That’s where the conflict of interest came to light as the questions were rising. How’s he gonna observe the game? With the eyes of an analyst or as a head coach recruiter. However, amidst all this drama, Brady took to his Instagram handle and fired up as he shared a story not too long ago. “My only competition is my potential,” Brady shared.

His Me vs Me story is saying otherwise amidst all the conflict of interest drama. See, the thing is, Brady is kinda stuck in his duty of being a broadcaster and the Raiders’ team minority owner. On one side, he’s bound to provide a fair and honest analysis of the game for Fox, while on the other hand, he probably wants to avoid saying something that might complicate his effort to hire Johnson or Glenn for the HC role. Talk about a dual threat. Off the field this time, or should we say behind the screen.
That said, the Lions vs Commanders divisional round is now a lot more interesting. And why wouldn’t it be? The media appear to question whether Brady will be a neutral observer or commentator on Sunday’s divisional round.
Is Tom Brady going to be a neutral commentator?
The Detroit Lions have been making a noise since the regular season opener. Once the regular season is wrapped up, it’s the Lions’ offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator who are making a roar. The reason? Under Ben Johnson’s tenure, the Lions had a historic offense this season as the franchise set records for total net yards (6,962), points (564), touchdowns (70), and point differential (plus-222).

The same goes with the DC, Aaron Glenn. Under his tenure, the Lions have given up the seventh fewest points per game. That made Johnson and Glenn one of the top contenders for head coaching posts as six teams were in a race with an HC vacancy.
Well, of course, both the coaches grabbed the attention of Tom Brady as well as the Raiders are on a head coach hunt after firing Antonio Pierce right after one-season. However, as Brady is now expected to announce the Lions vs. Commanders on Sunday, that’s exactly how the conflict of interest kicks in. See, the media seems to claim that Brady is not known for being a neutral observer or commentator when it comes to closing a deal with Ben Johnson.

Speaking of his neutral commentary, fans are smart enough to analyze if he is interested in Johnson or Glenn. I mean, if Brady is all in praising the coaches or hesitates while criticizing them, voilà, the Raiders have got a potential interest for their head coaching vacancy. Or maybe we’re reaching here. But who doesn’t like a bit of tea?
