The relationship between Tom Brady and Bill Belichick has been one of the most talked about topics since the last season. Seems that the trend isn’t about to go away too soon. To add all the necessary spices to the situation, the trailer for the Apple TV+ exclusive ‘The Dynasty: New England Patriots’ is rustling the pages of one of the grandest franchises in NFL history, to fish out some long-forgotten controversies.

Tom Brady and Bill Belichick’s controversy is similar. Brady’s support to his former coach throughout the season, when everyone was questioning his skills as a head coach, Brady called him ‘the greatest coach ever’. Yet, in the series trailer, the relationship between the legendary QB and Belichick ended on a sour note. As the skirmish enrages, videos from the past are resurfacing, highlighting the difference of opinions, even mid-game, between Belichick and Brady.

During a clip from mid-game, Brady and Belichick seem to be arguing about whether the ball was in Brady’s teammates’ hands. While Brady repeatedly states about the ball being “right in his hands,” Belichick isn’t ready to accept it as he keeps on counter-questioning him. In the end, Belichick gave Brady, what sounded like a stern warning, saying, “Tom look, settle down there buddy.”

Well, this was just one incident among the several others that led to the drifting away of Brady and Belichick. Per reports by the New York Post, Brady confessed about Belichick not agreeing on an offer of $50 million, a two-year offer with the Patriots, a main reason for his leaving the team. “Based on how things had gone, I wasn’t going to sign up for more of it,” Tom Brady has said. Moreover, his former wife Gisele Bundchen wasn’t too happy with the way the then-Patriots head coach treated Brady.

When the brawl between Bill Belichick and Tom Brady went a bit too far, Bundchen had to step in, defending her then-husband. John Benedict’s book ‘The Dynasty’, the basis for ‘The Dynasty’, explores the topic, as Benedict reveals Bundchen saying, “She also pointed out how ridiculous it was that after all these years, Belichick still treated Brady like ‘f—–g Johnny Foxboro.’”
