Brady’s recent musings sparked considerations about the MVP favorites, and Nick Wright called the GOAT out, suggesting that he only pushed McCaffrey as the winner since he was the guest on Brady’s podcast that day, saying, “Maybe if Brock Purdy was the guest he might have said Purdy looks like the MVP favorite.”

He is a dynamic player now, and I think all of what he’s done this year is a lot what he’s done in the past,” said Brady, before concluding, “So he is definitely in my mind the MVP favorite.”

Christian McCaffrey has emerged as a serious contender for the NFL MVP award this season, amassing 1,809 yards from scrimmage and scoring 20 touchdowns through 14 games. Notably, if he secures the MVP, McCaffrey would break a streak dating back to the 2012 season, where Adrian Peterson was the last running back to receive the prestigious honor. Since then, quarterbacks have consistently dominated the MVP, winning it every year.
