There are only a few players in history who go on to have a long career as Tom Brady. And even if they do, they certainly don’t go on to win Super Bowls in the last years of their time on the gridiron and be the GOAT. Yet, that’s what makes him so special and successful.

Tom Brady, the former QB for the Patriots and the 7-time Super Bowl-winning legend continues to be a pillar of inspiration to NFL players nationally even after a year after his retirement. On the 14th May episode of the Pivot Podcast, the hosts Ryan Clark, Fred Taylor, and Channing Crowder sat down with the NFL’s best, Tom Brady, as he revealed the drastic life changes he witnessed during his 23-year-long career. He also talked about how he never actively chased high-paying incomes, but would tend to follow him as he got better on the gridiron.

Brady said, “When I started in 2000, I was just like everyone else. Well then, my elbow started killing me. How do I start getting my elbow to feel better? Now why do I not feel good after I traveled and drank alcohol? How do I improve that? How do I get to be more fit? This was 23 years when I had to refine all these things.

He explained how the little things matter, and how he always wanted to get better even when he was off the field, adding, “To me, it was like off the field, how can I sustain my body over a period of time so that I can keep playing, and that had to be decisions and choices that I was making. When I saw those behaviors pay off, I made more money in the last 10 years of my career, like a ton of money and I try to express that to all the young players.”

Thus, the $300 million worth Brady earned his keep after years and years of making his body more and more efficient in order to maximize his career. With all that said, Brady is set to embark on a new journey in his football career but while he’s faced many critics during his NFL run, he’s going to turn the tables around as a commentator for Fox Sports.
