The Philadelphia Eagles are soaring high after emerging victorious 37-34 in their last game with the Buffalo Bills. And while their performance is garnering solid responses from fans, Skip Bayless has stirred the post with some spicy takes comparing the Eagles and the Cowboys.  

Just like their NFC East division rival, the Cowboys also delivered a 45-10 blowout defeat to the Washington Commanders in their last game. And while the two gridiron giants gear up to face each other in Week 14, Skip Bayless is pouring his favor over the Cowboys. But is it luck that has brought the Eagles this far with only one loss so far?

Skip Bayless accounts Eagles’ success to luck

Skip Bayless never holds out on speaking his mind. In his latest Twitter post, he threw shade at the division-leading Eagles. According to the Undisputed host, their division rivals, the Dallas Cowboys, are superior as he credits most of the Eagles’ victories as them being ‘lucky’. He bluntly declares, “Their luck will run out.

Bayless highlights that the Eagles played four straight games trailing at the half and getting outgained four for four straight games. They have managed to live on the edge without falling, ultimately securing more wins.

While the question of superiority is reigning now, we can only be sure when the two teams meet in Week 14. As of now, the Philadelphia Eagles lead the NFC East with an overall record of 10-1 while the Cowboys trail closely with 8-3.

Eagles vs. Cowboys – The Comparison

It’s not uncommon for the top two teams in the NFC East division to undergo constant comparison with each other. When it comes to win-loss records this season, the Cowboys may not be able to compare with the pristine 10-1 that the Eagles boast of. However, all of their victories are blowout records to their opponents while several Eagles’ victories are narrow wins.

This season, the Eagles have amassed 3778 total yards with an average of 377.8 yards per game and 31 touchdowns. The Cowboys are the clear winners here securing 4,317 total yards with 392.5 yards per game and 40 touchdowns. As for total points won, the Cowboys dominated with 347 points over the Eagles’ 273 points.

Based on statistics, the Cowboys are the winners but luck also plays an important role in any sport. The truth will surface when they meet in the next game after one more game. Up next, the Eagles will take on the 8-3 San Francisco 49ers while the Cowboys prepare to face the 6-5 Seattle Seahawks
