Pat McAfee, the current host of The Pat McAfee Show, was once an Indianapolis Colts player ages ago. The man who now wears his heart on his sleeve as he breaks down different developments in the NFL was once infamously involved in the worst play in NFL history. On Wednesday, the unceremonial moment completed eight years as he was reminded of the same by a Twitter user.
Responding to the same, McAfee went to break down the video on his show. The often dubbed Colts Catastrophe occurred in the third quarter. Right at the end, the Colts were put in a challenging position with a fourth and a three all from their 37-yard line. McAfee and his team took the field in full challenge.

What followed next was absolute chaos! While the punt McAfee and the other punts unit casually jogged over to the right of the field, the Colts’ WR Griff Whalen doubled up as center and the team’s safety Colt Anderson took over as the QB. With the play clock running down, the fake punt was achieved by Anderson going under center and taking a snap from Whalen.

Andrew Marchand, the reporter from the New York Post reported the same and McAfee sent a text message to him seeking a closure. Marchand then went on his podcast and highlighted how A-Rod’s presence is actually booming McAfee’s business. Marchand said “This isn’t necessarily unusual in terms of paying for interviews. From McAfee’s point of view, this is good business. It’s smart business. The story I wrote did not argue against that.”
