For more than half a century, Terry Bradshaw has been part of the football world. He was the first overall pick in the 1970 NFL draft by the Steelers. And if injury hadn’t stopped him, his 14-year career would have lasted a few more years. After leaving the gridiron, he now dons the TV booths of football stadiums. Moreover, TB12 has dabbled in everything, music, movies, and even live shows. As we approach the end of the 2024 NFL season, with the Super Bowl only 15 days away, he is planning his time after that.

The legend shared his method of breaking free from football by sharing a few photos, holding a golf club. He aptly described his love for golf in his caption that read, “Can’t wait to get out there with these new PXG clubs!” The energy he carries is overwhelming, especially if we consider his age, 76 years. The football season is exhausting, with weekends for six months occupied by his contract with FOX.

Terry Bradshaw has been analyzing the games for almost 4 decades now. That’s a feat in itself. But as we mentioned, the man is a jack of all trades. He even has his shows planned, namely ‘The Terry Bradshaw Show 2025‘ for the offseason, which will be held at the Avalon Theatre in Niagara Falls, Ontario on Sunday, April 13, 2025. Fans love him. And he is the living legacy of the Steelers who won 4 Super Bowls in the 1970s.

Throughout this entire season, there were multiple instances when fans were concerned about his health. He made mistakes in the regular season, calling Giants QB Tommy DeVito, by the name of filmmaker Danny DeVito. Hence, seeing that he was doing great was a breath of fresh air.

Clearly, the NFL legend is an overachiever. However, there is another man in the league who has become a hot property in even less time. It’s the Chiefs quarterback, Patrick Mahomes.

Is Patrick Mahomes better than Terry Bradshaw?

During the divisional game against the Texans, the Grim Reaper was on fire. He finished the game with a win, his 8th consecutive playoff victory. With the 8-0 streak, he broke many records of many QBs, including Troy Aikman, Joe Montana, Terry Bradshaw, and John Elway. Clearly, he has signs of greatness.

To get a better picture, let’s compare their playoff stats. In his NFL career, Terry Bradshaw played 19 playoff games, scoring 30 TDs in 3,833 passing yards. He won 14 out of those 19 post-season games Patrick Mahomes has been a league apart, with 42 TDs in 5,312 passing yards, in the same number of playoff games. The AFC Championship game on January 26 will be his 20th postseason game, in which he has a 16-3 record. Something to be aware of!

Number-wise, the Chiefs QB is ahead. But we wouldn’t say he is better than the Steelers legend as they played in 2 different eras. Back in the day, football was way more physical. But this year, the Chiefs signal caller can equalize Bradshaw’s other record, 4 Super Bowls. And if he does that with a 3-peat, it would certainly become a historic moment in the league.
