If you thought being an NFL legend, TV host, and fashion mogul meant easy sailing, think again. Michael Strahan is known for taking on challenges head-on, whether they are in the fashion industry, on the football pitch, or on live television. However, it seems like one got past him this time. One minute he’s walking into the Good Morning America studio expecting a hero’s welcome, only to discover the opposite, and the next he’s waking up to discover his own brand making unconventional fashion choices.
The former NFL player who hosts Good Morning America recently shared an eye-opening photo of himself wearing a surprising new item from his own clothing line on Instagram Story – Michael Strahan Brand. The attire? A hooded grey jumpsuit-pantsuit combination, styled with a white shirt and black tie. His caption? A simple but loaded: “Who approved this?? 🤔🤔”

Was there a joke here? An instance of a rogue designer? A publicity stunt? Or perhaps—just possibly—this was the much-needed shake-up for men’s fashion. Because, let’s be honest, the typical men’s closet is a sea of boring pantsuits with no opportunity for creativity. Men’s clothes can be daring, unique, and dare we say, both comfortable and stylish, as demonstrated by Strahan’s brand. Is this bold move a bit too much, though, if the brand’s spokesperson publicly questions a design? Or is there more to it?
Comfort and confidence for every occasion have always been the cornerstones of Strahan’s apparel line. However, it is evident that this design managed to evade the confidence check. Was this a successful marketing ploy or an inside job gone wrong? In any case, Strahan’s message is very clear: someone must start letting him run things first. However, fashion innovations weren’t the only surprises in store for Strahan this week.
Michael Strahan’s one-word reply on GMA sparks peak awkward silence
When Strahan entered the Good Morning America studio, expecting to be showered with affection. He realised that all of the yelling “Michael!” wasn’t for him. Just when he thought he was done dealing with unanticipated surprises. Michael B. Jordan was the recipient of the cheers and the hurrah.
In a fun interview with the cast of the new spooky film Sinners. Strahan talked about how his little moment of popularity ended up becoming an identity check. He exclaimed, clearly excited, “I walked in, people are screaming ‘Michael!’ and they have these jackets with ‘M’ on them.” “And I thought, ‘They love me!'” Then the insight struck. “Then I realised, YOU were here!” he said, gesturing to Michael B. Jordan, the star of Black Panther, who was the real beneficiary of the fanfare. Jordan, being the class guy that he is, assured Strahan, “You’re getting love too, cut it out, man,” as the crowd burst into laughter.
The awkwardness didn’t end there, though. Another GMA incident that went viral was when ABC News’ Will Reeve asked Strahan a seemingly innocuous question: “Hey, did you ever go to your high school reunion?” Strahan, in classic deadpan fashion, responded with a simple, “No.”

Silence.
Reeve attempted to change course with a tense “Okay,” but Strahan chose to double down, obviously anticipating a longer response. He continued, “I graduated with a class of two,” evoking the image of a reunion in which he and the other guy would merely exchange pleasantries before heading out for the evening. The studio bursts into laughter. Even Reeve, who was taken aback at first by how succinct Strahan’s response was, started laughing.
Fans joked that Strahan’s “No” ought to be emblazoned on a t-shirt, and the internet quickly turned this into a meme fest. While one fan wrote, “😂😂😂Leave Michael Strahan alone😂😂😂”

But let’s face it, we’re talking about Strahan here. He knows how to roll with the punches, whether it’s a sudden design drop, an awkward silence, or a case of misidentification as a celebrity. And if his history is any guide, he will take these situations, laugh them off, and use them to his advantage in the future. Since Strahan never backs down from a challenge, even if it involves wearing a jumpsuit, that’s one thing he never does.
