2021 was a season consisting of a lot of highs for Tom Brady. The one high that Brady didn’t expect went viral. After all, it was a year when the QB won the last of his Super Bowls, which he might have anticipated then, so he was not holding back on the fun. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers boat parade was proof of that. Even in 2024, fans fondly remember Brady’s wild doings on the boat parade. From him casually playing catching games with his 7th Lombardi trophy to him not being able to walk on his own after getting off the boat parade became the more popular highlights of the 2021 Super Bowl, compared to the Bucs’ win against the defending champions Chiefs.
The incident was recalled in 2024 by one of TB12’s members when he was speaking on TB12’s method of moderation. TB12’s recent merger with Brady’s brand and sportswear company Nobull has brought worldwide attention to it, with Tom Brady being the face of it all. The merger between Brady’s company and the Boston-based sportswear brand entitles Brady as the second highest shareholder. Putting the best of his marketing skills to use, the TB12 executive leveraged the much-talked-about incident to bring publicity to the merger, capitalizing on Brady’s then condition.

“The TB12 method and it not like drinking alcohol is something that we tend to advise people not to do. That clip is kind of like a nice storytelling moment of moderation right. It’s like, hey you know there are moments in time where even Tom Brady does this stuff and you just got to do it in moderation. So it was a cool moment,” the TB12 employee said in an interview with Two Stories Media. While it was nice learning to be passed to posterity, it also came as a slap to KR Jones, who raised questions on Tom Brady not being ‘fit enough to promote a wellness brand’.
KR Jones on Tom Brady
“He’s never been looked at as a benchmark of physical fitness. TB12 is not somebody that I rock with off the field. He’s got a lot more to close that gap in order to get people to buy in off of just his name,” were the beliefs of KR Jones for Tom Brady. Per him, Tom Brady was not the best face, nor the best physique to promote the new merger of his brands.

Well, TB12’s employee’s response came as a perfect whack on Jones’ face as they publicized a move that many criticized then. Which more of Brady’s moves would entice the audience to his new brand, or will he need to work more on himself for it?
