Even after parting with the New England Patriots, Bill Belichick can’t escape the spotlight, especially with his personal life. 

The news of the septuagenarian coach dating the 24-year-old cheerleader Jordan Hudson became fair game for some good-natured ribbing. How could his former Patriots stars, Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman, miss out on this hot topic?

During a recent episode of their show Games with Names, the duo couldn’t resist poking fun at Belichick’s dating life. Edelman opened the roast by asking Gronk, “Did you see Coach Belichick’s date?” setting the stage for playful jabs. Gronk said he did and added, “A good-looking 24-year-old,” with a surprised look. Soon, the former tight end playfully brought up Belichick’s famous “trifecta” — three things players should avoid getting caught up in.  

Alcohol is No. 1, quickly dismissed with both players acknowledging Belichick’s known abstinence. Things got funnier with point No. 2: a**h***. “I would say Coach Belichick did partake in being an a**h*** at some time,” Gronk said, sharing a laugh with Edelman. Finally, they reached the third trifecta: girls. Gronk, unable to resist a good-natured tease, concluded with, “Now he’s all caught up with the girls,” poking fun at his former coach. 

However, Gronk also tried his best to give some consolation to Belichick. “He’s not coaching anymore though. So that’s a pass. He’s allowed to be in the trifecta now,” he said, clearing out the hypocritical move of his ex-coach. Overall, both the stars had a good laugh at their coach’s expense. But some might have missed the duo’s best buddy, Tom Brady, in this round of teasing. Not to worry, as the GOAT already got his stage last month. 

Hilarious jabs at Bill Belichick’s new love life

The laughs kept rolling for the former Patriots after the Netflix roast. While Tom Brady took the brunt of the jokes, his coach, Bill Belichick, wasn’t spared either. During his roast, Brady poked fun at Belichick’s new girlfriend, saying, “Now that I’m retired, my favorite ring is that Ring camera that caught Coach Belichick slinking out of the poor girl’s house at 6am a few months ago.” The LA Kia Forum crowd roared in laughter.

Soon, Rob Gronkowski also joined the fun, amused by the age difference. He playfully took a jab at Belichick’s past obsession with Foxborough High School, suggesting, “Now I know why…..you were scouting your new girlfriend” in high school. Gronk finished with a surprised tone, “You’re 73 years old, you should be trying to b**g someone your age like Nikki [Glazer]!” The audience erupted in laughter once again. Belichick’s new love life seems to provide endless amusement for his former stars.
