Deion Sanders is a proud father. Moreover, his son Shilo copped a lot of social media hate for his controversial hit. The ejection following the hit has got the NFL world divided about the legitimacy of the play. While several top-rated analysts and pundits have given their views on the same, another HOF has joined in the hot conversation with his own explanation.

Interestingly, the player’s comments came in on the social media platform, wherein Deion flexed his son’s play and seemed to be cheering him on for the same. Another legend has now joined in on the conversation with his two cents on the issue, perhaps with more support for the youngster after the judges came hard on the player. While the NFL viewers and fans have their own views, in Deion Sanders’s eyes, it’s completely legal and just. As the people are warming up to the news, it’s good to see that the youngster has found some form of support.

A HOF comes in support of Shilo’s controversial hit

Terrell Owens, the former NFL WR shared his trade for multiple teams. He knows a lot about controversial hits. He was also keeping a close eye on Colorado’s match against UCLA. While the Buffs lost to the Bruins, there was a moment that is now etched in the player’s memory. The much-discussed moment came in the first half of the matchup. Shilo, the Colorado’s safety targeted the UCLA’s running back Carsen Ryan. Owens responded to the same on the video posted by Sanders saying- “That’s the EXACT SAME hit that was reviewed by officials and ultimately ejected for. Show me the difference between the two hits?!!”

Owens didn’t stop here and continued to elaborate on the hit further. He wrote- “This one if I have to grossly nitpick looks closer to targeting but still doesn’t reflect what deems as TARGETING.” Owens came with reasoning and backed his logic while discussing the play. While several players called the play as foul and unsportsmanlike, Owens has now thrown his weight behind the youngster. Not only him, there were several other fans who were watching with anticipation and voiced their opinions.

While Coach Prime saw nothing bad about the move that his son played. So did the hoards of fans on social media as they commented on the video. After Sanders posted a video of the entire episode and also shared the dressing-room conversation. Several fans gave their opinions on the matter.

One user wrote, “They don’t want that smoke! Had to get him outta there! #legalhit”. Another user highlighted the youngster’s greatness saying- “Shilo is really HIM. He constantly makes these types of plays.” Few others expressed their disappointment at the same. “I’m so mad at that ejection!!!! Shilo was a threat to them point blank period!!!! They targeted SHILO!!!! Keep doing the work, they won’t stop this force.”
