‘Breaking Point’ features Brady’s frustrations increased when someone as reliable as his ‘body coach‘ Alex Guerrero, was banned from first-team activities. Guerrero and Brady had gotten close from the duo’s first meeting in 2005. Brady himself was shocked to experience the effectiveness of Guerrero’s methods. “The whole situation caused a lot of hate. I mean, it was so stupid because Alex is an amazing guy. He kept me healthy. I mean, if I look at it, there’s no way I would have played for 12 years in the NFL without his commitment to me and our team,” Brady remarked. Brady opens up on the helpless situation he was stuck in, Patriots, saying, “And then instead of getting credit for it, he got blamed. Overall frustrations of Tom Brady during the episode with Bill Belichick
After the unexplainable exile of Alex Guerrero from the Patriot’s inner circle, rifts had deepened between the hierarchy and Tom Brady. The duo also shared a close business partnership, which was hit by managerial decisions. The closure of TB12’s flagship store in Foxborough and reports of the duo parting ways in their business ventures marked the end of an era. They remain close friends to this day, but the added frustrations during the fiasco must have been too much for Brady to handle.

“That whole year, Tom and Bill, it was two parents fighting at each other. There was always so much tension,” Gronkowski said. He even talked about Brady’s arm injury not being taken seriously by the hierarchy while Alex Guerrero was sidelined, adding salt to his wounds. While he could not get proper recovery time, Bill Belichick’s inconsiderate response made it hard for Brady to continue his relationship. “He’s a tough guy, we all know that. All right? But … we’re not talking about open-heart surgery here,” Bill Belichick said in the post-game against the Jaguars in 2017.
