Bill Belichick’s critics are hushed after the GOAT Tom Brady came to his rescue. However, seems that they are finally back with a fresh set of allegations to make against the two-time MVP. Shannon Sharpe and his fellow podcaster Chad Johnson weighed out the ‘controversial’ statement made by Brady in his recent appearance in the Stephen A. Smith Show.

Brady said a ton of things on the show. However, what caught Uncle Sharpe’s ears the most was this one: “I think there’s a lot of mediocrity in today’s NFL. I don’t see the excellence that I saw in the past.” Even though Brady mentioned his reasons for saying so, Sharpe and Ocho also have their reasons for disagreeing.

The tale dates back to 2008 when Brady was the star QB of the Patriots. Particularly in the game between Kansas City Chiefs and Patriots. Chiefs Safety Bernard Pollard hit Tom Brady in the pocket on his knee. As the situation escalated, the authorities had to put a curb on the move, forming a rule against it. Well, Sharpe was against this, as the rule bound the defense into not making quick, albeit aggressive, moves. And now, Brady complaining about the ‘lack of passion‘ is a rather ‘hypocritical thing to say‘ as per Sharpe.

Moreover, Sharpe and Ocho also agreed on the fact that ” Tom Brady benefited from these rules.” Well, Uncle Sharpe and Ocho, being NFL veterans themselves, gave another aspect of the statement to prompt the fans to think about Brady’s statement. Further, the duo gave a couple of instances from back in the day when the same incident garnered no ‘ban of moves’. However, Uncle Sharpe holds nothing against Brady’s performance, which he made sure to clear.

“I think one of the reasons why Tom Brady gets so much credit because we see how it looks without him,” was what Sharpe felt. Safe to say, each NFL fanatic would agree to the fact that the NFL would never be the same after Brady left. However, rising icons are well-set on their way to change that.
