Ever since Seattle Seahawks legend Marshawn Lynch retired after the 2019 season, he seems to be everywhere. From commercials, TV shows, movies and even his former coach Pete Carroll’s Las Vegas Raiders press conference. “Beast Mode” hasn’t stopped one bit, even though his career on the gridiron ended years ago. Lynch may have already cemented a place in the Hall of Fame with his Pro Bowls, All-Pro nods, and, of course, a Super Bowl ring. But now he is trying to earn a legendary status somewhere else that doesn’t involve running with the ball. Marshawn has bagged yet another Hollywood project in his already glittering cinematic portfolio.

Just after the 2024 NFL season ended, Lynch landed a role in HBO’s popular drama series “Euphoria” starring Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney. Euphoria, which is entering its third and final season, has been on the lookout to add some big names. After calling upon Total Recall actress Sharon Stone to join their cast, Euphoria also gave Lynch an opportunity to join the show. “I’m hella juiced about the show and getting a chance to work with the people in front and behind the camera. At the end of the day, I’m just thankful for the opportunity,” Lynch said through HBO’s official Instagram.

Although it’s unknown what role he will play in Euphoria, Lynch’s latest project comes with all the details. “@beastmode knows a beast when he sees one. 🏈 4-star recruit, Cal Golden Bear, NFL icon and future Hall of Famer Marshawn Lynch is Eugene Ledford in Signing Tony Raymond. Coming soon. #BEASTMODE.” Signing Tony Raymond’s official Instagram page announced on Friday that Lynch has joined their cast. He will play Eugene Ledford in the story of a young college football coach who is sent to rural Alabama to try to sign the nation’s top high school defensive end.

But the protagonist soon finds himself trying to outflank other rival recruiters to win over the player’s dysfunctional family. It wasn’t specifically stated what kind of role Lynch’s character will be playing. However, based on the photos shared, Lynch was captured talking in a restaurant with Michael Mosley, who is playing Walt McFadden. Soon, Lynch is also going to star in a heist movie called “The Pickup” with WWE’s Roman Reigns, Eddie Murphy and Pete Davidson.

While Hollywood seems to be the focus of Lynch after he retired from the gridiron, it’s not the only thing in his busy schedule. Lynch is also a massive investor who loves to make money while asleep.

Marshawn Lynch expands his investment portfolio

Lynch, who already owns pieces of teams like the Seattle Kraken, Oakland Roots, PFL, Fan Controlled Football’s Beasts, and the Bay Area Panthers, dropped another major investment. This time, he is partnering with another NFL veteran, Marcus Peters, to back the Seattle Seawolves rugby team. On Thursday, Seawolves’ official X handle announced, “We are excited to proudly announce the addition of two influential sports figures. @moneylynch aka Beast Mode and @marcuspeters, as new investors in the organization.” This may seem like just another layer of investment in Lynch’s diversified portfolio. However, it’s more than just an investment this time around.

It’s a partnership meant to unite the Pacific Northwest through rugby. Lynch revealed in an interview, “Rugby is about culture, community, and respect—and when this opp presented itself. I was with it, cause you already know that’s what imma about. This move isn’t just business. It’s about building something with substance and purpose. The Seawolves are creating something dope in the PNW, and I’m here for it.” Even Marshawn’s partner, Peters, whom he refers to as a cousin, although not biological, also shared his thoughts.

“This is bigger than just a sport. We don’t just talk about it, we let our actions speak for us, and this is about setting an example and putting energy into something that uplifts and brings people together. Rugby’s about heart and connection, and I’m hella proud to join a team that lives by that every day on and off the field.” To make this moment more special, Peters was also in attendance at the Seawolves’ home game last week.

Obviously, Lynch couldn’t attend as he seems to be busy with his Hollywood projects. But still doesn’t stop him from throwing his hat at investments that catch his attention.
