Skip Bayless has a hot relationship with the Broncos game. So hot that some player or the other is on the receiving end of his burning comments. Surely, the rough tussle against the Patriots infuriated many fans, as Russell Wilson and Co. blew off their shot at the wildcard with a 7-8 record. The record also prompted three teams ahead of them: the 8-7 Texans, Steelers, and Bengals positioning them at 11th in the AFC.
When they started at 1-5, the playoff hopes were already thin. But kudos to Wilson and Co. for keeping the hopes alive till week 14. However, when things go down, the same players are to blame.

Bayless was not happy with how Christmas Eve turned out to be in the NFL landscape from the Broncos’ end, to put it nicely. Despite applauding Bailey Zappa’s performance, who stole the night by putting the Patriots in a remotely positive light following a humiliating season, Bayless roasted Broncos QB, which many fans might consider a tad too brutal. “When the Broncos most needed Russ to cook, pilot light went out,” taunted Bayless.

The 26-23 scuffle kept the audience in their seat, but Wilson’s performance did not shine as bright, partly because Zappa was the star, and partly because he did not play as well. Wilson complied 25 catches from 37 attempted for 238 passing yards and 2 touchdowns. All boil down to a completion percentage of 67.6. Not Wilson’s best days. However, it was just a week ago that Skip Bayless took a stand for Wilson. The ever-changing opinions in the NFL.

Sean Payton and Russell Wilson got into a little situation on the sidelines following the Broncos’ another hard-hitting loss against the Detroit Lions. Payton yelling at their franchise QB on National TV was enough to spark a whole new fire for critics. But Bayless looked down on the behavior. Calling Payton out on his X.
He said, “I’m a Sеan Payton fan but that was a bad look for him. You just cannot chеw out your franchisе QB on national TV. Position is just too hard to play. Do it latеr, if you must, in private. This sеnds thе wrong mеssagе to thе tеam, crushеs Russ’ confidеncе. Hе has еarnеd bеttеr than that.”

While Bayless does not sugarcoat his opinions, he does know the nuances of the field, and how things should work. While Bayless’s opinions differ from game to game, which is him just doing his job, proves his non-bias towards any team or player. Which is, if he can roast Wilson, he can also defend him. Classic Bayless.
