Robert Kraft is a die-hard Bill Belichick fan. After all, the coach’s companionship with the GOAT Tom Brady made Robert Kraft’s team one of the most iconic in the history of the sport. However, when the records started tumbling down, questions were raised about Belichick’s abilities, something that didn’t sit quite well with Tom Brady.
In the recently released docu-series The Dynasty: New England Patriots, there were several revelations made by Brady that further fueled the rage against Bill Belichick among the fans. Just like the quarterback, the claims against Belichick didn’t sit well with Patriots’ owner Robert Kraft as well. To douse down all of this once and for all, Robert Kraft made certain revelations about honoring Bill Belichick’s period at the Patriots.
Robert Kraft’s full quote on the perception Belichick was unfairly maligned in The Dynasty: “I feel so privileged that we had Bill here. Kraft pledged certain things to honor Belichick, giving him the same defensive treatment as Brady. Scraping the ‘ unfairly malaligned’ perception of Belichick in the Dynasty, Kraft said, “I feel so privileged that we had Bill here. And you know, we hope when he’s finished that we’re gonna have a chance to honor him the way we did — we will do with Tom Brady this year. You know, we did this little ceremony at halftime of the Eagles game, but it was not adequate. And we look forward to being able to celebrate putting him into the Patriots Hall of Fame on six, twelve, twenty-four (June 12). And, you know, I look forward to the privilege of putting Bill into the Patriots Hall of Fame one day in the future.”
Inducing Kraft into the Patriots Hall of Fame would not only shut all the naysayers down, but would also re-establish Belichick’s reputation among the fans.

When Robert Kraft waived the customary four-year, post-retirement waiting period to enshrine Tom Brady in the Patriots Hall of Fame in 2023, the questions surrounding Bill Belichick’s induction also started swirling. Then, Robert Kraft had said, “It would be awkward while he’s still coaching. Everything in life is timing … so we’ll have to wait for that.”
When Bill Belichick and the Patriots parted ways, he was expected to be fought over by the teams to be their head coach. However, he scored only two interviews and zero jobs. Since Belichick is expected to have a fairly free 2024, Kraft’s announcement came at a good time. Perhaps the world will finally see the iconic coach be inducted into the revered Hall of Fame soon. And if that does happen, Gillette Stadium will definitely have an occasion to celebrate since two of their most celebrated icons, Brady and Belichick, will become a part of their Hall of Fame together. However, till then, fans can only wait with bated breath for it to happen.
