Can Tom Brady's broadcasting career ever match the legendary status of his NFL days?

Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski have been inseparable on the field, creating some of the most memorable moments in NFL history. Their legendary partnership led to four Super Bowl wins, cementing their friendship as one of football’s greats. However, as Brady is taking  on a new role as Fox’s lead NFL analyst, his old pal Gronk couldn’t resist taking a playful jab at his broadcasting prowess.

During a recent interview, Gronkowski humorously critiqued Brady’s broadcasting career with three bold words: “You suck, bro. You suck man” While Gronk made it clear he was just teasing, he added a bizarre reason to his playful roast. “He couldn’t fill airtime, just like his ball. He couldn’t fill the air on the deep ball, so he’s not a deep baller,” Gronkowski joked, clearly enjoying poking fun at his former quarterback.

Edelman also emphasized that Brady thrives when doubted, saying, “We all know Tom plays better pissed off.” Gronk’s lighthearted banter reveals their playful camaraderie, though he did admit, “He didn’t suck. He was really good, very knowledgeable.”

As Brady steps into this new chapter, many are eager to see if he can match the success of his quarterback career in the broadcasting booth. TV networks love former players-turned-broadcasters like Troy Aikman and Tony Romo, and Brady is expected to bring that same aura. Despite the high expectations, Brady has shown that he’s serious about the role, even drawing advice from Phil Simms to “let the game breathe.”

Brady debuted in Week 1 of the 2024 season. It surely was deeply scrutinised since fans, analysts, and former teammates like Gronk were delighted to see how the GOAT performed off the field.
