DeSean Jackson officially retires from the sport after a glorious 15-season career. The WR for the Eagles has had an impeccable career in the NFL. After playing for teams like the Eagles, Washington Commanders, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Rams, and Baltimore Ravens. Undoubtedly, he’s had a good career and his resume is all stacked up.

The fans will be sad to see the number 10 player go and hence, chimed in with good wishes for him on X. Jackson will be playing his final two matches against the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys. Thus, as his career comes to an end, several prominent figures in the footballing world paid their respects to him including the likes of Rob Gronkowski.

Rob Gronkowski, the former TE for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, wishes DeSean Jackson all the best for his future as he announced his retirement from the Philadelphia Eagles. Gronkowski and Jackson have both played against each other in several games and are known to share a friendly equation off the field. The 36-year-old wide receiver has had a highly successful career but unfortunately called it quits in a recent announcement.

Gronkowski took to the Up and Adams show to pay his respects to Jackson as he moved on to the finer things in life. He said, “I am honoring DeSean Jackson with these shades right here. We played against each other in college and he was just a lethal weapon.” Jackson will be exiting the sport after spending a total of 15 seasons in the sport. Thus, the NFL community will remember Jackson in tribute to all the memorable games he’s put his heart and soul into.

Jackson has played eight of his 15 NFL seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. In total, Jackson has appeared in 183 career games and has made over 641 receptions for 11,263 yards. Furthermore, he was named a Pro Bowler in both 2009 and 2010.

Eagles chairman Jeffrey Lurie said, “DeSean Jackson was a dynamic playmaker who captivated Eagles fans with his game-breaking speed, unique skill set, and explosive play. What made DeSean truly stand out during his accomplished 15-year career was his ability to make miraculous plays look routine.” Thus, Jackson will be retiring with all the accolades to his name and the community will wait to see if he comes back to the field as a coach in the near future.
