Greg Harden's influence on Tom Brady—underrated or the real secret to his success?

Behind every legend, there are many experiences, people, and unheard conversations that push them into fulfilling their true potential. Tom Brady also saw a hero in his life coach, who truly changed his life for the better when Brady first met him. The person that Tom Brady considered the most influential man of his life is, sadly, no more.

The footballer graduated from the University of Michigan where he worked with the renowned life coach and motivational speaker Greg Harden, who helped him become the 7-time Super Bowl champion that he is today. However, Brady will no longer get to thank him for his help.

Greg Harden was a “secret weapon“, as known in the university. This is because of the work that he put in while dealing with thousands of student-athletes who competed for the said school. He even wrote a book called Stay Sane in an Insane World with his work experience in mind.

Unfortunately, Harden passed away after a surgery complication, leaving his wife, three kids, and one sister to mourn him. The family has asked for privacy from the rest of the world while they process the loss of their loved one in peace. The University of Michigan broke the poignant news on social media.

Following this, the football fans only did what the Harden family had asked them to; sending prayers and wishes. Then came a long list of hearty and emotional comments that may show you what the world is truly feeling right now. Tom Brady also didn’t fall behind in sharing his thoughts regarding the upsetting incident.

Have an interesting take?

This loss appears to be very personal to the NFL legend. He uploaded a tweet shortly after the news broke out. This was a tribute to the various memories that he had working with Greg Harden during his college life. Brady must have had so much to share, but probably had to keep his tweet short. Hopefully, he will get to say a final formal goodbye to his dear mentor and friend whenever possible.

The football world was saddened to learn of this and shared their deepest regrets on social media. One social media user did the honors of writing RIP for the departed Michigan University Administrator. The subtle message doesn’t include any long sentences to keep you hooked, just a simple goodbye to the legend.

Learning of somebody’s demise isn’t always the easiest thing to deal with. While nobody knows what the family is going through right now, people empathizing with them is a warm sight in these circumstances. This commenter felt sorry for the family and prayed for people close to Greg.

This was indeed a shocker to anybody who had known him closely or knew the importance that he held in the lives of people around him. The ‘secret weapon’ of the University of Michigan is no more, and this doesn’t even begin to sum up what he must have meant to his family.

One more visitor who learned of the saddening news and decided to react to it. While there aren’t many words present here to tell us what they truly feel, the emoji inserted in the comment is doing a good job of telling us that.

This is the first compliment towards the legendary life coach in this batch of reactions. The user in question called him ‘one of a kind’, which he must have been helping others realize their full potential in this vast world. It is not easy to show a path to the ones who are confused about where to look in the first place, and Greg Harden did that specific task with good accuracy.

At last, we have another solemn yet personal comment for the late legend. His legacy will indeed live on forever with the many lives that he changed with his service to the sports world. Greg Harden excelled at what he set out to do in this world and may his soul forever remain at peace.
