For 17 seasons, Fox NFL Sunday wasn’t just about breaking down plays—it was straight-up vibes. The crew had legendary chemistry, but nobody brought in energy like Jimmy Johnson and Michael Strahan. Whether they were roasting each other, dropping football wisdom, or just having a good time, their bromance was elite.
But now? Big changes are here—Jimmy Johnson is officially calling it quits. After three decades on TV, the Hall of Fame coach is stepping away, saying his time at Fox Sports was “the most enjoyable part of my career, even more than the Super Bowl or National Championship.”
Of course, Strahan came through with an emotional farewell, tweeting, “Congratulations on your retirement, @JimmyJohnson! It has been 17 seasons of fun and laughs sitting next to you. You’re truly one of a kind… Hope you enjoy fishing and drinking beers on the boat. You deserve it, love you Coach!”.

Their friendship wasn’t just for the cameras, though. These two were locked in. Fun fact: Johnson once admitted that not drafting Strahan when he was coaching the Cowboys was one of his biggest regrets. “I was with the Cowboys, and Strahan was sitting there. We needed a pass rusher, and I didn’t take him,” Jimmy Johnson said. Big mistake, considering Strahan went on to be a Hall of Famer.
But even though he missed out on coaching him, Johnson was always one of Strahan’s biggest fans—hyping him up both on the field and in the studio.
Now, Coach is off to live his best retirement life—probably somewhere tropical, sipping a cold one on a boat. And while he won’t be in the studio every Sunday, his legacy (and iconic hair) will live on. As for Strahan? He made it clear—this ain’t a goodbye, just a “catch you later.”
Erin Andrews’ dropping hints? NHL & NFL fans think so after her latest posts
Erin Andrews has been the face of NFL sideline reporting for years, but could she be eyeing a switch to hockey? Fresh off another Super Bowl season, she’s been hyping up the NHL hard—so much so that fans are starting to wonder if she’s about to make some moves.

She recently posted an Instagram story raving about the NHL’s latest event, saying, “Good for the @NHL! That was so much fun and such a success!” She even admitted, “We were screaming like it was the Stanley Cup and Go USA.” And here’s where it gets interesting—just days earlier, she casually dropped a bomb on her Calm Down podcast, reminding everyone that her contract with Fox is up. “Enjoy it because it’s not going to last forever, especially when your contract is up—and mine is.” Sounds like something’s cooking.

Now, if Erin does make the switch, it wouldn’t exactly be shocking. She’s been a hockey fan for ages, and let’s not forget—her husband, Jarret Stoll, is a former NHL star. In fact, she just posted about Skate for LA Strong, a charity event hosted by the NHL that her husband is involved in. Coincidence? Maybe. But the timing is kinda sus.
She hasn’t made any official moves yet, but with the way she’s been hyping up the league, it wouldn’t be surprising if she popped up in an NHL arena soon. Whether she’s just leaning into her love for the sport or setting up her next big gig, one thing’s for sure—Erin Andrews is up to something.
